This is the drummer from Opeth before their current drummer Martin Axenrot. I prefer Axe personally but love Soen more with their recent outputs though over Opeth. Soen hasn't done a bad song in my opinion, love what they do!

Soen is one of my favorite bands ever. So glad I discovered them when their first album came out. Got this record on vinyl right away. My favorite part of their music is when they get a bit heavier. It sounds a lot like Tool. That said, they do softer stuff amazingly too.

Soen is a total underrated band! The last albums where a little more tool-ish!

This album needs to be heard in it's entirety "LOTUS" is my album of the year as of now.

Love Soen, and this album sees them taking a big step toward putting it all together. They typically trend a little heavier, but this is a good example of their versatility and more melodic elements. Their singer sounds worlds better on this disc than any of their other releases, and I'm excited about what they're going to do next. Let's hear some Thank You Scientist or Caligula's Horse! Both unique progressive bands that deserve some attention!

For any tool fans looking to scratch their tool itch I highly recommend soens first album cognitive. Also great to finally hear some soen on here, would love to see you guys react to last light, or oscillation.

This was great to watch. I've seen a lot of song reaction videos and, surprisingly, none of them go in depth in the lyrics like this. I've never even read the lyrics to this song, so I didn't realize what it's (obviously) about. Thanks!

Thanks for reviewing guys. Sori knows what's up! It's a good song, also, the whole album is fantastic. Maybe others might request some or you might want to review a couple more songs from them. Worth a shot, I assure you. Also, Vin, you're confusing us with your preferences. You said this song was meh because "chorus, verse, chorus, verse, etc.", A. It wasn't, really. B. Prog is all about breaking that cycle, but you no like prog. Make up your mind man!! :)

I just started listening to these guys after knowing about them for years, the new album is so good. IMO their previous work sounds like Tool, which isn't a bad thing, I love Tool. But I'm glad they've kind of found their own sound.

If you do another soen song please do covenant or rival off of lotus.

I think Sori you will especially love this: It’s time you reviewed a second QUEENSRYCHE song. Vin loved ‘Eyes Of A Stranger’ last year. I recommend ‘Silent Lucidity’ their biggest hit. It went Top 10 in 91 and was nominated for Grammys and AMAs and nominated for 5 MTV Video awards, winning one, beating R.E.M.s Losing My Religion in the Viewers Choice category. It is a beautifully lush ballad with strings by Michael Kamen of Metallica fame as well as many film scores. You will love it so much I think. Video is great too. Please use the studio version or official video version. No good quality live clips. Trust me. Sooo good.

Excellent band choice. One of my favourites from this new album. Other songs I would recommend are Lascivious, Sectarian, Lucidity, Pluton or The Words

Please review both Martyrs and Lotus. Appreciate you reviewing Soen, bit disappointed Penance was chosen from their new album. Don't get me wrong, It's an amazing song, but Martyrs and Lotus just blows it out of the park!

It's an absolute shame this has been up a year now and it only has a little over 7K views. Probably doesn't bode well for more Soen on the channel but thanks for doing this one. Soen to me is one of the best bands almost no one has heard of. This album was my album of the year last year. Criminal they don't get more exposure.
