I think the reason why people like them more than the main couple was because their story was more realistic and it did seem that both of them were suffering for a genuine relationship for real
That’s probably the biggest reason. Even in the New Thai version F4, I prefer them slightly more. They have conflict and tension but are not enemies, and honestly seem more realistic but still satisfying to see.
Their chemistry is far better than main lead . I used to watch BOF only becoz of their chemistry . I hope they work together in future as main lead couple

After more than a decade i finally understand why yi jeong fall for ga eul. She doesn't have anything unlike any other girls and hated yi jeong at first. Ga eul saw yi jeong at his worst and saw yi jeong's kindness.. a well written story for them.
Japanese version sucks! Yuki is going after nishikido not as a woman in love. She's more like a fan girl. That's why he keeps running away. Gaule loves yi jung truly. She was even ready to sacrifice her happiness just to see him happy. That's why she gave him up and that's why he came back to her.
I think the producers realised that if they were given another single moment together, Jandi and Junpyo would have been faded into nothingness. (They did at least for me )that is why soeul couple got lesser screen time.
I watched this series only because of these two ❤ both are so cute and their story is quite relatable. I wish these two would be in a series as lead couple.

U must use chance when u have it and don't say no just because you are scared . 2. Cool , casanova boy with money and handsome face don't mean someone who have never loved 3. U must respect and cherish someone who care about u even u don't love this person because here is big chance regret it . 4. Take care and love someone not because you are waiting something from person , but because u truly love him/her . 5. Get an advice from person who really love and care about u . 6. Love someone enough for leave person for find his own happinnes in life . 7. Never try back things or people who already left . Ga eul was way more smart and good lover for Yi jung than Jandi for gujipio .
