It flopped hard, it doesn’t matter if you liked it or not, album sales matters, it doesn’t matter if you agree or disagree with that too, sofaygo fell off, he was the biggest up incoming artist of the 2020s, now he’s fallen off the map(all pun intended) yeat, destroy lonely, & ken carson all have surpassed him, hell homixide gang is starting to surpass him now too, he’s never gonna go back to his old sound either(rage) he’s trying to creep it back in with those random singles that be dropping but he’ll never drop a rage album, he’s gonna keep becoming less & less, his spotify monthly listeners keep dropping
If Faygo never stopped dropping he would’ve been cool, and pink hearts was good but his audience had regressed back to the underground and it was a mainstream album. The two eps he dropped was cool and had some good songs but just wasn’t enough after not dropping. Go+ was great but he needs to keep dropping and do major marketing to build back up🤷♂️
Pink hearts was his chance to comeback a lil bit from the hype dying but he didn’t deliver ngl. His new ep go is alright and better than anything he has dropped since 2020 imo. But his music just doesn’t hit as it did in 2019 sadly.
he never even fell off he just made one project that did very poorly. imo falling off is when you've dropped multiple projects and no ones even tapping in anymore. if smokepurrp somehow dropped an amazing project rn no one would even notice. i feel like a big part of the faygo falling off narrative was just yeat comparisons
To be fair travis dropped Days Before Rodeo and Days Before Birds before their respective albums. But I don’t think faygo has that star power yet to really pull that off cuz DBR is honestly my favorite project of Travis it’s better than rodeo imo
people forget the music industry is werid especially when it comes to labels why would anyone with his skill fall off peeople have lives outside of music and in order to make the best music ou need to be your best self for example ski he drops heat still but not often especially with all hes been through bt hes still ski
