"Echo of Your Steps" is considered one of the best songs composer Volodymyr Ivasyuk. The author called it a typical Ukrainian romance. This song was composed by Ivasyuk back in 1969. It was performed by many Ukrainian singers, including Lidia Vidash, Soviet superstar Sofia Rotaru and the now popular Taisiya Povaliy.
Lilia Vidash, Ivasyuk’s wife was the first performer of the song. Later Sofia Rotaru also started performing it. The song was also included in the singer's album "Only to You", which was released before the opening of the Moscow Olympics.
Unfortunately, in this way the singer, without knowing it, said goodbye to the great composer, thanks to whose songs fame came to her. When the album containing “Echo of Your Steps” was released in 1979, many viewed it as a gesture of a singer in memory of Ivasyuk, who was allegedly killed the same year.
