She's smart, funny, beautiful, sensitive, thoughtful, romantic, loves her family, is genuine, tells you as she sees it, doesn't pull her punches, she can laugh at herself, she's proud of her heritage and so much more is good about Sofia Vergara. There's nothing bad I can say about her. She's the closest thing to perfect I've seen yet! I think she's great!!

Definitely there is a lot of prejudices to destroy. She created that funny latin character to win her place in the industry, and she made it. But, the most of the people think she's a stupid and that's annoying. I challenge to all those hosts to pronounce one simple word in spanish. I have so much more respect for her now. I actually never thought about her being so proud of being Colombian or Latin American. And to see how she faces all this racist comments from the "funny" hosts in TV... she did great. I bet they think she is stupid just because of her accent, but she certainly is not.

My mom is also Colombian. She gets tired of people not understanding her and always saying how cute her accent is. She's sometimes gets so frustrated and cries. Imagine how Sofia feels sometimes.
I've only worked in foreign countries, and I am so proud of my accent. Some people make fun of me, but at least I took the courage to leave my hometown, travel overseas and learn a different language. I got out my comfort zone and I am very proud of what I've achieve. Sofia, you're a role model
People who make fun are insecure since they can't understand. I never found those Ellen jokes funny ... the joke doesn't even make sense to me. I can understand Sofia, it is Ellen's disability her brain isn't capable of forming the words or she has not been speaking with diverse group and attempting to learn.

God I love her. She was the 1st girl I ever cut out of a magazine and put on my bedroom when I was 13 years old. I'm the same race as her and I was super proud when she became super famous. She came a long way, it's not easy for a latin girl to make it big in America, regardless of how pretty you are. Her 1st film in the USA was "Soul Train"(Universally agreed upon as a Top 3 WORST FILM of all time) to her being the highest paid TV actress in the country due to her success on Modern Family. Love her.
