That looks nice. I have their IF22A in 21700 size & it's a great thrower. Their website lists the IF30 for $82 with battery, but you have to wait for a shipment from China. I've bought from them before, and they get your order out quickly, but the shipping time usually takes around 3 weeks.

Good review of manufacturer information. "It will stay on this setting (turbo) about one and a half hours". Very misleading. It decreases immediately and in about a minute it makes a significant drop in output to a lower level, then again a few mins later. Turbo and high levels on flashlights come with fine print about being the total length of light output including step downs. These lights are really about how long they will sustain a medium brightness level. This is a FET driver light with very poor regulation. Also, a couple other reviewers have tested and proved a very unsafe battery condition with the IF30. The included 32650 battery is only rated at 6.5 amps continuous discharge per its data sheet, yet the light draws over 35 amps on turbo. This means the battery is damaged with each use of turbo, and it's to be seen whether the battery could suffer a dangerous failure. Sofirn has been notified by more than one tester. Proceed with caution, and it's recommended that a higher discharge battery be used, even if smaller, like a Molicel P42A 21700 with spacers, since it's a 45A discharge rated battery. Feature wise, great light.

I kinda wish Sofirin would put this lens on a Q8 plus/pro body, as its 3x 5000 mAh 21700 batteries would give 15,000 mAh instead of 6500 mAh. 😊

@@mtnmnkymilitia - Hmmmmm…. If one battery gives 6500 mAh, wouldn’t 3 provide 15,000 mAh? Each Sofirin battery says 5000 mAh, but the high drain ones (on order) provide 6500 mAh. What am I missing?

I just got a Maurader mini and i like it a lot but I've always wanted this one it definitely has some high peak lumens and the flood and spot combo is awesome. The maurader could have been much better for me without the 3 color emitters and all 9 being regular one's. The price on this one is to good to pass

I have both and I find the Marauder mini to be superior. It is true that the IF30 delivers more light, but on the other hand it cannot keep the full turbo output for more than a few seconds (vs. two minutes for the Marauder). Moreover, the battery provided with the IF30 can sustain up to 5 A while the flashlight in turbo mode needs around 35 A. Of course this can be addressed by using another battery. But the biggest problem with the IF30, for me at least, is the rotary knob. Very hard to operate. It may need many rotations before unlocking the flashlight. It is hard to use due to the sharp corners and mechanical resistance, even harder in cold weather of course, and it is not sufficiently responsive to unlock the flashlight at once. The Marauder mini is so much easier to unlock and operate.

@@voixdelabime Yea I have many lights and the quality between my olights vs others is big. I grabbed the marauder mini first cause I knew its a better light this soffirn was around $65 I wanted it more as something to mess around with. I'm very surprised that the battery is that weak wow that's insane! Now if I throw a higher amp battery in it the light will probably get hot faster and get dim fast on turbo probably the same way it does with the weak original battery smh. I've seen a ton of reviews on this light and I would get it cause it's cheap but if it's complete crap I would just return it. But if I need a good light source maurder mini is awesome and takes a while to get warm.

@@t5king850r I want to be honest about it. I have other Sofirn flashlights as well and I believe they are great for their price, including the IF30. From my part, as already stated, the main complain about the IF30 is the rotary knob. Perhaps mine is defective? Perhaps it needs more practice and use? I don't know. But it should be better from the start, when you first use it. As it is now, it is not practical, especially if you need light right away because it may not unlock the flashlight at once. But once unlocked, it works perfectly. Recently I used the Olight Seeker 4 Pro. Its rotary knob is certainly the best I have ever seen. So smooth and responsive, with information about the light level (can be adjusted with the flashlight off!) and battery charge. Regarding the battery in IF30, I don't know which is Sofirn's position on the issue. I don't know either how the flashlight will handle heat with a more powerful battery. I am tempted to try it eventually. Despite these shortcomings, I still believe that the IF30 is hard to beat for the price. It looks nice and it feels really solid. I got mine too for a price below $70, under a good discount of course.
