Hey loves! 💕 Today's video is a day and night maintenance routine for 36 inches extended soft locs I put in myself. I showed y'all how I touch up my soft locs, how to clean and moisturize your soft locs to keep them looking good and fresh. I've gotten a few questions on how to maintain this style, how long does it last, and how to sleep at night so in this video, I mentioned how I personally clean/wash and moisturize my scalp to keep it clean and hydrated, as well as how I prepare for bed with these extra long locs. I have these in now. I do the same thing and it keeps my scalp fresh. I use peppermint oil and rosemary. I also wash my edges to get the edge control guk out every 3 days. A warm rag with apple cider vinegar will clean your scalp dab some on the tip of the rag and rub it over each row. You may have to rinse the rag and re dab the vinegar. Let it sit then dab again with warm water. Then finish with your conditioner spray and oils. It's a lifesaver and keeps flakes and dry scalp away. Thanks great video 😊

yesss peppermint oil. i started using this oil from cantu, i believe it has acv and peppermint or tea tree oil. works wonders for styles like these! it really helps with your scalp and cleans. def agreed 💕

Girl it’s day 5 and I’ve been itching like crazy. I’ve been using witch hazel sulfur 8 braiding spray and this conditioner mix with ibuprofen 😩 it’s just starting to ease up. Oh and on day 3 I did the nasty and the friction on my scalp was hell. I had to dip my scalp under warm water 😭😭

I feel a lil scared to use my conditioner spray and spray it on my hair because my scalp gonna be itchy and a little flaky got any tips if we cant use the conditioner oil spray

i know there are some brands like cantu i think that have like braid spray! those work as well. and it’ll help to moisturize your scalp too. but i just like to make my own mixture

Conditioner is not meant to go directly on your scalp I would try just oil mixture and that might help with your scalp. Love your Locs!

thank you! 💕 i think this is just a personal problem for me because when i was just using oil, it would irritate my scalp. until i started using the mixture again (like i did when i first went natural years ago) i saw more hair growth & less dryness. not sure why honestly 😂 but thanks for the tips! 💕💕

they’ve been in for 6 weeks currently! around the 4 week mark i redid the front of my locs bc of excessive edge control use there was build up so i wanted to wash it out. but this style can last for about up to 2-3 months i would say. 💕

i never got it fully wet, so i’m not 100% sure. but these are not as heavy as for example box braids are... so i don’t think they will be really heavy. i would just be careful 💕

They can last from 2-3 months. However I would buy extra wrapping hair so you can rewrap them when they grow out

yes, same way. tie down the front with a scarf and put on my bonnet. i’ve gotten them a little wet before accidentally and nothing happened lol but i would still advise you to tie it up
