I'm really psyched for this! I've always loved this show but never had a decent release of it. Can't wait! When I get it, I'll likely do a review like I did with Facelift France & Holland.
I have the Reel Recordings release of "Live at Henine Onstad Art Center 1971". The package indicated that this show was recorded Feb 28, 1971 and that the Art Center is in Hovikodden. Is this the same show or one of the same shows included in this box?
CD should be superior audio anyway, as long as it's properly mastered. As the legendary recording engineer Rudy Van Gelder said when he was remastering his back catalog for CD, "Vinyl was never any good."
Could you tell me in what way(s) this is different from the Sort Machine album Live at Henie Onstad Art Centre 1971 on the Smalltown Superjazz label (which I already own..) Thanks!
