My aunt had a 28lbs soft tissue sarcoma removed in 2003 at Georgetown/ GW. It started in her diaphragm, went through the ribs and was growing out the muscles in her back. Her doctor told her to lose weight, she had asthma. Nope, internal bleeding and pushing on her lungs. Went to ER. They did xray, say the mass and said We can't help you. I took her films to Georgetown in the middle of the night to see if the team at Georgetown would take her case. They did. She didn't pass until 2020 from sarcoidosis. But I thank God for those doctors. She was able to see her granddaughter born and grow until she was 10 yr old. Her faith helped me with my own medical issues.
I had liposarcoma, 6:5 hour major surgery,,tok my spleen part of my pancreas & stomach, left kidney I'm one of the lucky ones, I went into remission November 2019 may all that have cancer get well, I will pray for you all
Congratulations! I’m about to start my battle. No one has specified which Sarcoma I have but it’s taken my eyebrow off completely (no hair anymore just sores). Also right side of my face in that eyebrow but closer to the hairline towards my ears. It’s quite ugly!!
@@d.holland3025 first thing you have to worry about is to fight hard & think about you, number 1, then when you are better then worry about other things St the moment no matter what you are beautiful, you will need the strength to fight, right now you have me to pray for you to get well , & I'm sure you have family & friends to help you fight this disease, God bless you ❤
I have suspected sarcoma. Got a lump on my groin. Had for nearly 2 months. Been for a ultra sound scan showed change to tissues and looks usual been refferd for a urgent mri that's due next week. I am not religious but I am praying its not cancer
Sarcomas also appear deep under the skin you can’t move it or pull and play with it. I have a lot of little swollen bumps on my bicep I’m pretty sure it’s fat cause it feels like the other arm I also have no symptoms of the sarcoma. Prayers to everyone with this
I was told my sarcoma's pathology does not fit into one of those 50 categories. It was actually sent to John Hopkins as well as locally here at OHSU in Portland. It started in my spine, worked it's way all the way down each area of the spine, then the hips, then on the kidney, fluid in the lungs, and the multiple brain tumors I've had as well. Currently blind in the left eye because of pressure it's putting on my optic nerve. Sarcoma made me a quadriplegic.... Radiation has been my saving grace. I'm well over 80 sessions in, treated roughly 16 different places, and every chemo has failed me..
They are not personal from smoking or drinking, sarcomas only appear from an external cause. They are pretty much ''the forgotten cancer'' because are just due to random environmental factors such as trauma (bullets, blood clots), metabolic disturbances (due to previous medication) or even ambient influences such as living near by a chemical industry
Having lived in rural areas for most of my early life, I was surprised to receive lab results showing high levels of arsenic. Arsenic has been linked to several forms of cancer, neurological diseases, and other systemic problems, however, doctors rarely include a heavy metal panel to identify what can eventually lead to serious disease. If you are seeing sarcomas, breast, colon, and organ cancers at surprising rates where you live and you are finding symptoms that concern you, please consider pressing your doctor for something like the NutraEval and/or other heavy metal tests to identify this possible source. While it's hard to know what's already been set in motion, there are medical treatments to aid in the removal of these types of toxins.
My mom 89 has one from multiple X-ray radiation. Uterine cancer w radium implants 40 yrs. ago, broken pelvis, and twisted femur break 10 years ago from falls. She’s still going shopping and out and about.
I had a soft tissue sarcoma tumor of the right calf that burst through the skin and grew on the outside of my leg. Had it removed via surgery and will undergo radiation soon.
How are you doing now? I'm trying to learn about this. I have a biopsy this week on a tumor on my outer thigh, following ultrasound and MRI. Is your prognosis good?
@@pookoos it has metastasized to my lungs. No radiation went thru some chemo that didn’t work. Now on a medication that hopefully will halt the growth while my tissue samples have undergone molecular studies. Waiting to hear.
I have a benine tumor on my left thigh the size of a tennis ball I've been taken chemotherpy for over an year the tumor has not shrunk my left leg was amputated for the same tumor on my lower foot, I wish to know if surgery is the best way to go I'm in terrible pain and loosing hope thank you
Surgery is the best way to have it eradicated as soon as possible once diagnosed. Thankfully we have amazing surgeons here in India who specialize in these surgeries.
In the name of Jesus touch him Lord heal him may he come to you humbly and pray! As well as myself I have a lump again on my side I had one before 7 8 years ago the size of tennis ball under my arm pit and God healed me when I cried out to him in Jesus name so I have Faith this will go away God willing us if I pray with a humble heart.
Oh my,I was just diagnosed with the lump in my ankle. Pray I don't loose my foot. It's a soft tissue Sarcoma thinking it's Synovial Sarcoma. Got an up coming appointment with a orthopedic oncologist. Tho it's not growing from the bone but tendons.
On my birthday...8/16/21...my orthopedic doc found 2 masses ..one each calf...one bigger than the other..today I had an MRI....should know results by tomorrow... I had been suffering from leg pain the past few months...which led me to the doctor. Im not scared..I just want to know...the waiting is horrible...
@@KE0PS77 Good...turns out masses were deep varicose veins bundled up...have appt next week with vascular surgeon...hoping he can do something to alleviate pain.
I think I have this I had a small lump on my arm three weeks ago and it’s now three times bigger and steadily growing everyday it’s also causing a lot of pain 😢
My father n law past away just yesterday from this he was diagnosed in March surgens cut a growth out of his neck and it just exploded and took over his body from his brain to his liver to his bones
My youngest sibling has sarcoma as well. He’s currently under hospice care, they predict he only has one week to leave but After reading your comment I can’t help to think that the medical professionals that dealt with his case only triggered he’s sarcoma to become aggressive and invasive. Either way whatever happens may the Lord Almighty keep his soul.
Mine is located between the ankle bone and heel. Thought it was just fluid but went to an orthopedic Dr, after an X-"ray,an MRI then another MRI with contrast. I was told to see an Orthopedic oncologist. For some reason the pain is worse since the MRI. I could feel vibration in that area while getting the MRI. I am getting older, but I got a few things I would like to do. There are few orthopedic oncologist in the United States, 300. One in my state is 120 plus miles away. Guess I will have to stay a month in a motel when I get radiation and chemo. No way I can drive that everyday. I can't ask my kids to quit their jobs, plus they live two hours away. Have kids in school, husband's that works to. Will figure it out. Maybe I can do treatments closer to home. Have the surgery in Augusta. So much to plan, but you do what you must.
I have been diagnosed with HS . It’s in / on my eyebrows. Currently at Duke but I don’t know if they truly know what to do. Next appt is for a Hematologist Oconlogy which have been described as the experts. After 6-8 months we’ve taken no other action other than CT scans and PET scan. Just wondering... seems like if this is aggressive then I need aggressive treatment. Idk... GOD’S WILL BE DONE is my prayers.

@@cosmob.4895 yea, I went to the doctor and she said it was nothing and she wouldn't hear otherwise. For some reason when I press it in it stays in but if you lightly brush over it it's obvious. She was PUSHING so she didn't feel anything but idk.
@@SmoothSmoothie127 I am currently getting mine checked and it's looking like it may be a hernia. Still needing more diagnostics, but I got an ultrasound and its not looking too much like sarcoma. Best of luck to you!
