An update is that this is 2022. I work in tech, and they don't send emails anymore. We have a pre-loaded pain in ass called MS teams....all you get is a 5 mins notice before a video call window pops up. There you are in the middle of a meet. MS teams has decided to next implement a feature..where your manager can call you and then receive uit on your behalf if you don't do that in 30 secs.
