All are welcome to attend this session for the Science Collaboration and Science community working within the Rubin Ecosystem which is organized by the Transients and Variable Stars Science Collaboration (TVS-SC)
Groups will share their experiences with software management and development and software training, with emphasis on grass-root and self organized initiatives within the Science Collaborations.

Software management experience within the Science Collaborations 20 min: (TVS SC, DESC) -

Community-led software training experience 20 min: reporting on past software training sessions and sustainability discussion - the TVS has led software training for the SC community with support from the Heising Simons fundation through the LSST Discovery Alliance

LINCC Frameworks: what softer projects are underway and what is the LINCC Frameworks sustainability vision 20 min:

PANEL software development, discoverability, and community engagement from the small team perspective: (TVS, ISSC, other SCs).

Topics to be discussed:
Software training - we would like to hear suggestions for improving existing training modules.
Software management: sharing experience within the SC of software management for small teams and communities with limited to no dedicated resources
Members of LINCC are especially encouraged to attend for discussions of how to integrate best with their infrastructure and management team.
