I was missing this model (PowerAccess) to complete my collection so, for a good price, I found it on Aliexpress with the sheath and the bit kit. But not yet fully complete as I'm still looking for a SOG model for electricians, the Paladin PowerPlay PT-540...
When these multitools went on sale, I underestimated them. The reason for the underestimation is the large gap between the blades of the pliers. But then I decided to dig into the multi-tools before buying and, going through the boxes with multi-tools, I found pliers with a perfect 0.05 mm gap!! As a result, I am happy as a Japanese umbrella "THREE ELEPHANTS"! ! Multitool is great, but you should understand that along with SOG Power Access Deluxe, it is useful to have a knife with one blade in your pocket and the ability to open with one hand. To do this, I use a RUIKE - LD 11 B knife. Thanks for the video! ❤
This is the unavoidable disadvantage of the gear system which certainly qualifies its qualities: rapid deployment of the pliers and incomparable biting force.
Nice addition to your collection, I find it interesting that a simple design change in the pliers can make the PowerPint/Litre so much more adaptable/useful than their larger cousins.....pretty sure you can’t grip jigsaw blades in the bit driver jaws of the larger models simply because of the orientation of the hexagonal cut out?.......are there any other advantages/limitations between the different bit holder designs?
I have just tested on the PowerAccess: a jigsaw blade (T-shank) holds very firmly in the housing provided for 1/4" bits. In general, the holding of the bits in this housing implies, in order to prevent their rotation, that the sleeves remain firmly pressed. The 1/4" bit holder adapter on some SOG models avoids this constraint and allows some of them to be positioned with lock at 90°.
@@diezelle57 thanks for clearing that up, from had seen the orientation of the hex so the flat rather than the point of the hex was presented resulted in a less than secure hold.....would love to see a demonstration. Is there a difference in plier opening between/assist ratio between the models?
@@diezelle57 A demonstration showing the way the pliers functions with T shank saw and how far they open - comparison of both the SOG PowerAccess and PowerLitre/Pint.....it would be interesting to see how the slight difference in design does/doesn't effect their performance
There is fresh air with "Multitool's world"..! This guy is so crazy and funny..! 😏 We all knows how to use Multitool's about tactical and limits. But he f**ked them all.
What I was talking about is shown in your video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3V3-9xnsP8A.html&start_radio=1&rv=3V3-9xnsP8A&t=281 If the gap between the blades of the wire cutters is correct, then there is no jamming when snacking.
