Okay so, let me stand up for the phone holster dudes since I recently became one. It may look goofy, but if you work a physical job where you are bending, contorting and squatting a lot, it’s perfect. I can never find a pocket to put my phone that is comfortable and doesn’t become a nuisance while working.

@@I_TheLandlorddude, totally agree, once smart phones became a thing, they've always felt too big in my pocket, had to be careful about what else I put in that pocket or worry about it slipping out in my seat especially on the bus. But about 10 years ago, I discovered durable pouches that are designed like military gear that you can strap to your belt on your side that hold your phone vertically and flat against your hip. so convenient! I can easily slide my phone in or out with out worry about it sliding out accidentally. I even skateboard with it sometimes and my phone never falls out, even when I fall lol. but if I wanted a little extra security like to prevent pick pocket in crowded area like concert or something, I can flip over the velcro flap. I don't know if it's considered a holster, but I'll never go back to putting my phone in my pocket! 👍😄👍

My friend had one of these. He was out fishing one day and his motor broke down on his boat. He knew what the problem was but couldn't fix it because he didn't have a pair of pliers! He ended up spending the night on shore in the RAIN until he was towed home the next afternoon by some stranger. When he got home he was telling his wife about the ordeal and how he was now going to ALWAYS carry a pair of pliers in the boat from now on and she asked him, "What about your belt buckle I got you for your birthday?" He never even thought of it. His wife didn't believe he was on shore all night and they broke up because she thought he was with another woman. Hahaha so this is a REALLY bad product!

I have carried the squirt for about 10 years as well. It's the perfect combination of useful and unobtrusive. Barely takes room in my 5th pocket without getting in the way of pulling out my phone. Victorinox is either too bulky in my pocket to be comfortable, or the smaller ones aren't useful. I already daily carry a small flashlight, and a full size knife is a must have. Anything more and I'll need a batman utility belt. Tiny pliers work great for things I can't grip. Flat head gets near daily use at work. I deal with lots of tiny knobs with a slot that are just beyond finger tight. And the phillips has worked in a pinch on occasion. File and scissors see limited use and I never use the knife. But here's the best part: mine has wire strippers on the pliers. 12-20 gauge. I do lots of electrical work and it's great to always have on me, and just enough pinch at the end for pliers to be useful. Squirt es4 model. I can't believe these got discontinued. This is a tool I'll always have and I'll be very sad if I ever lose it or break it. Glad to see someone else who is passionate about this amazing little tool!

I got into it with one of their reps about how bad their pocket clips are on the SOG pentagon elite knives. I'm constantly breaking them. Their rep said that they design their pocket clips to break away. I told him maybe they should design pocket clips that don't break easily so that people like me quit having to contact them and get free replacement pocket clips every few months.

I wear one as a belt buckle, you have to take the clip off to do so but I wear one everyday and no one ever notices it but keeps me from having a leatherman on my side. It isn't a great tool, but the best tool is the one you have with you

I have the first edition of this, corners were not rounded, so worn as a belt buckle with a t-shirt over, it tore holes in my t-shirt because the corners were so sharp.

I love mine. It’s great if I don’t want to take my wave with me. Plus I carry my wave in a leather slip on my belt anyways and it take up more room. Not a replacement for the wave but it’s definitely an innovative and cool design for me. 👍

I’m a fire fighter but we typically go on EMT calls. It should be kind of cool as a belt while on duty. I have 13 years experience in the airborne infantry, in this application I don’t see it working out too well, however. Depends on what you’re doing with it I suppose.

Planning for survival it wouldn't be good. However what is great about it is a great way to keep tools with you at all times. Never be without a pair of pliers. I personally think this is a great idea.

Tbf, the buckle part unscrews and then you can either clip it to your belt/pocket, or use it as a money clip. I prefer the also discontinued "Swiss+Tech Micro-Plus EX 8 in 1." No buckle/clip, smaller, saved my butt a few times.

it is great!! have one for years now, and on my belt everyday for years. will not go out with out my trusty belt tool. so i disagree fully, about bad design. it is spot on.

I mean I will give them one thing. It's kind of a clever idea if you think of it as like an emergency item. Like have it on a belt when ya go hiking or something. I mean it not having a knife makes it a lot less useful but if they made one outdoors related.
