Keep in mind that gear three has a major drawback that turns luffy into a tiny weak child version of himself. He can only use a move like that when he knows for a fact it will win. Otherwise Moriah gets back up or blocks it then kills luffy anyway

[spoiler] It makes no sense for them to watch 700 more episodes to then go back to a story that is about the Ryuma and the story behind his sword told in this arc. It does make sense for them to watch it soon though as the end of the movie is a final scene with Zoro and Ryuma in Thriller bark

SOGE KI NO SHIMA DEEEE UMARETA ORE WAAAA, THE GOAT SOGEKING 🗣🔥 In all seriousness though, it’s sad seeing Usopp having to make up a whole personality to elevate his own courage, going so far as to treat himself and Sogeking as entirely different entities (I wouldn’t be surprised if the mask was haunted by a spirit called Sogeking that possessed the wearer lmao). It’s sad because he needs Sogeking to be brave… but he’s ALREADY doing so much that normal people couldn’t do. Usopp’s character really is fascinating to watch throughout the show

@@brycj14128 the sogeking mask/persona is a phenomenal narrative device that Oda uses though. Particularly in EL, because Usopp felt he needed it to be brave and do what needed to be done. The thing has always been is that the crew always saw Usopp as capable and an asset. The mask helps give him courage to just be the man he already is. His series arc is really about him becoming the brave warrior of the sea that feels confident and sees himself as his friends and crew mates do. This new arc (in the manga) is gonna be so hype to experience! 😅

Always weird for me to see Usopp refer to Perona as "Horo-Horo Girl" since in Finnish, my native language, "horo" means "prostitute" 😂 Aaand I just found out while writing this that there's also a town/municipality named Horo in Finland as well. Oh joy 😅🤣
