A dying art from of India which has a deep connection to the Mesolithic age rock paintings, still prevails on mud walls of the houses in the lap of dense forest of Hazaribag in the state of Jharkhand. 10000 years ago the cave men used to paint their cave walls with minerals and natural colors which gave the inspiration of this unique and lesser known art form named SOHRAI and KHOVAR. Padmashree Mr. Bulu Imam has discovered the cave and the connections, the stories of which are told through this episode in depth. The 20 minutes story reveals some 4 century old forts and palaces of the kings of Chhotonagpur too. Just don’t stop midway. You could lose the essence of the trip.
This several places are covered in the vlog which are accessible from Hazaribag town which is a prominent township of Jharkhand which is an excellent tourism place too. From Ranchi one can reach here by so many buses or car. Or else my route can be availed. For the ease of travelling I provide few contacts if you require.
