If you enjoy checking out Bangkok and other SE Asia spots, consider subscribing. I'll continue to make videos showing the streets in Bangkok and beyond. Thailand is amazing and a great place to visit, work or retire. I'll do my best to show you how to live affordably in SE Asia. Plus, enjoy some great side trips from Bangkok.
"Langsuan" literally means "behind the garden/park". If you keep walking a little bit towards the end of this street, you will see the famous Lumpini Park w/ its freely-roaming monitor lizards and such.
Enjoy the videos, but suggest a bit of Google Map research before starting off. You stopped your journey before hitting Sarasin Road at top of Lumpini Park, where the dark green line isn't far. This is one of the most prestigious areas to live, and Sindhorn development has kicked it up a notch with food and shop options. Still a very frequent visitor, but couldn't retire in Bangkok (prefer what is was like in 80s and 90s, when on assignment there...even wife (Thai) has no interest now, too Americanized.
@@EagerExpat No worries. Your videos are the best of Bangkok You Tubers for showing all the great restaurants, bars, and specialty shopping stores in Bangkok. Saves me the time of having to research new places to go on my next visit.
Love your channel fantastic content but every time you mention the distance from one place to another it’s like you speak Chinese. We Europeans have metric system so when you say 3-4 blocks it doesn’t help much it would be easier if you said the distance in minutes of walking that we can relate to, or better yet meters 😅 keep up the god work and have a great day
I'm starting to hear that. But, measuring a block in meters is foreign to me. I told my buddy I'm 800 meters from the train. He said I was 200. I'll try to do better. A block is give or take 100m. In case I slip
Love your videos mate, Random question... Is the Rajah Alley between Soi 2 and 4 (Nana) still closed.? I'm coming out next month and looking for somewhere to stay.. :o)
Thank you.. I was looking to stay on Soi 2, it's more convenient if that ally is open but on google maps its shut off.. Ended up booking just off Soi 23 near Cowboy.@@EagerExpat
@@RichO-00The only alley I knew was years ago where Annie's was. That's been gone awhile. Soi 23 is still close to everything. I walk from Asoke to Nana all the time. I wouldn't even bother with the train
My favorite area is between Asoke & Phrom Phong. You should hundreds of choices at $1200. Try to get a larger place. At least 50 meter or larger. Most 35 meter will be $700 or less
@@EagerExpat Thanks very much. I am just deciding what to do with the T E visa situation my plan was to be over there early next year but I may have to come sooner now. (oh well!)
