On Thursday, July 7th, The Southern Plains Climate Science Center hosted Dr. Matthew Levi, Assistant Professor of Soil Science at the University of Georgia, and Co-PI on the South Central CASC-funded project Wildfire Probability Mapping Based on Regional Soil Moisture Models. Dr. Levi speaks about some recent advances in predicting soil moisture in the Red River and Rio Grande Basins and how it could lead to improved understanding of wildfire across the region and benefit fire managers.
