This is kind of an underrated album of theirs IMO. It was sort of during their transition into writing more "structured" and "catchy" songs versus just being straight death metal. It showcased how truly talented all these dudes are. Dirk was my favorite drummer of theirs, but Henry Ranta was a friggin' beast! Dude's beats were tasty as hell!🤘
Dirk was/is awesome for sure, but Henry was an amazing drummer! His drums on Natural Born Chaos were perfect. While i prefer that album over this one, i still enjoy this album a lot. It definitely propelled them to new heights as far as song writing and over all album strength. Stabbing the Drama is my second favorite album of theirs. These guy are still going strong and such a great band!
@@imawesomeyourenot Henry Ranta is an extraordinary drummer, his work in soilwork was impeccable, especially in natural born chaos and predator portrait. It's a shame there are no videos of him on RU-vid, I would love to see him play the flameout or mercury shadow
@@032clayman21 i actually went back and listened to the full Predators Portrait album after a song popped up in a random playlist. I completely forgot about how great of an album it is as well.
This was the album that I first listened to when I checked out this band back in 2010. Rejection Role was the first song. I loved it. But when I got to the midsection, with his cleans...omfg I actually said "damn, this dude has a beautiful voice". Ever since, I just want to check out anything this man sings in. Of course the rest of the band is just as good! I have not let this band go ever since that fateful Tuesday at high school, when I stumbled upon the music video for Rejection Role in 2010.

Ah yes, the days when it seemed like Soilwork released an album every other week. It's actually not as bad as I remember; just don't think of 'Grand Failure Anthem' or the title track of APP while listening to it.
