Dude great review, I love the neewer 660s you recommended before, I think the 660s with the tubes would make some great lighting in a studio!

Yeah the 660s are great if you need a little more power. We will have to see how much more power they have. The good things about these though is they can be in the shot where as the neewers you probably want to hide out of frame. So with both you could probably do RGB lighting on the background with the neewers and on the model with the tubes.

@@NickDelDuca I had a couple shots in frame from the shoot i did with Molly, they have their own cool look to them, but you want to setup the shoot to go along with it, I see potential!

I currently have 6 of these tubes and purchased them in Jan 2022 ,the operation and brightness is good and the price was good also , after 4 months of use 3 of the lights only hold 70 percent of charge and 1 only holds 80 percent of the charge .the last light holds full charge still but occasionally starts flashing to say its out of charge but the indicator say it fully charged .5 of the 6 lights have broken screw mounts just by screwing the supplied stand into them they simply snap off leaving a big hold that I have put tape over .lastly when using nanlite t12 holders on the lights that have broken stand mounts the plastic tube part has hairline cracks in it . as far as warranty is concerned they simply don’t respond to your request for help even after the units being just a few months old and used a couple of times a week .a shame as I had high hopes for this light so can’t recommend to anyone this unit unfortunately .

@@izzo777 I Just keep them until they dont work anymore , i now have a set a the new Amaran T2c tubes and they are great and a good price point also and try to purchase from a retailer who will cover any problems ( not Amazon )

@@missionabandoned thanks, bro. One question. Are they still working with AC power? (Sokanis)

It locks, just hold the center button down until the display blinks. Same thing to unlock.

You can actually lock the remote from the yongnuo so you don’t accidentally change settings. I saw it in another review

If I buy the Sokani to use as white light instead the YN360iii will I regret it? Because for me is important the RGB but also the WHITE color...
@NickDelDuca
@NickDelDuca Год назад
The YN360III has brighter white but its less diffused so you really need to diffuse it and not shine it directly at your subject. The Sokani is pretty pleasing directly on someone's skin but you have to get it pretty close to have enough light.

Which one is the best for key light?
@NickDelDuca
@NickDelDuca 2 года назад
None of them are really ideal as a key light. A tube or strip light isn't really the ideal shape to get the best looking catch lights or to get even light across the face. You could bounce it and set up a book light or something but there are much better lights for the job. Between the 2 though if I had to pick I would say the Sokani is better because at least it's got some diffusion built in where as the Yongnuo has none.
