I think the Sol Dawn and Sol Horizon are high quality units inside and out and very well built for long term durability and would love to own either one. If I could have one item different in these units it would be a front to back bed position instead of side to side. If the Sol Dawn was about 6 inches longer or 6 inches shorter elsewhere to allow the dinette to bed conversion to be just a tad bit longer it could be very spacious bed for a couple front to back with no need to climb over the other to get out of bed..simply slide off feet first without disturbing your mate or might be able to design a twin bed ability, with the removable dinette still a feature. Some other manufacturers of smaller units are coming out with walk around queens. That’s a nice feature but to me does not have to be walk around, just offer room at the foot for either person to exit the bed unimpeded by the other. I applaud the Intech crew for their execution of an excellent product and know they are working within very tight design/weight perimeters and can’t meet everyone’s needs.

The construction of this looks solid. Just wish you would have touched on the Insulation and subfloor materials. Soft/water damaged subfloors is the number one killer of travels trailers.

Ironically, the work area has the lowest ceiling height while the sitting / sleeping area has the highest.

how do you define work area? my wife and I are traveling full time in ours this year, we work remotely, and spend most of the time working at the dinette. I'm 6ft and the only place in the unit I can't stand up straight without hitting my head is in the bathroom ;)

Sweet camper. Saw one today at Princess Craft. Very impressive and love the front dining area along that huge window. Would prefer a separate gray tank and black tank though.

Nice trailer ,but i would prefer the spare on the back as shown. All you need is a nice looking tire cover for it so much easier to get out than having to unload from the bottom.

It seems with the rear stabilizers in their up position it will make getting the spare out from under the trailer even tougher. Also, a rear hitch with 100 pound capacity, that is such a minimal amount and not very useful.

I love this, except for a few things, would like a drop down sink in the wet bath, more counter prep space ( could be a drop down counter) and a back up camera.

A sink cover/roll away dish drain cover would be great for some prep space! In extension leaf on the counter under the TV would help too (a slide out option to fit). I don’t mind no sink in the bathroom, although the little flip down variety would work. Back up camera prep at least.

Love this TT; great sleeping arrangement for single beds; sadly they have one tank as Black & Grey. You want your Black tank treatment to work and kill that nasty smelling bacteria; Yet if you're using soapy detergent type soaps you will Kill that process and worse in warmer weather you'll get stink! And not to mention constantly dumping because the grey tank will fill up to quickly. They need to move onto a Cassette Toilet. Leaving the grey tank alone. And move onto a 12V compressor fridge.

You could retro fit it. The manufacturer doesn't offer this option, but RV'ers make that change on their own all the time.

Finally, a Travel trailer built for small to average size people. Just right for a single person or a couple who won't have to pay for excessive headroom we'd never occupy. I especially like the design of the dinette bed area. This is the first & only time I've seen/liked the reduced space for a smaller size bed. Love the space now being used for sleeping & eating at the same time. I also especially like the all Aluminum welded frame, the one-piece roof to the bumper; a strong frame built to last. I sure wish the shower area was a molded one piece instead of several pieces with seams. I hope/wish/prefer a Truma Aqua Go in lieu of the problem-prone Atwood/Suburban water heaters. Is the Dexter axle rated for 3,000# or 3,500#? What is the R rating factor for Insulation; what is used for insulation?

Yes people bitching about price here. This is built like an airstream. This won't rot in 5 years. You still got air streams over 50 years old rolling around in brilliant shape. This kind of build costs money. One fella here comparing this to his larger Jayco. I mean really. A Jayco? Total pile of shit next to this.

It's sooooo nice but I'm sooooo disappointed they didn't go with the more efficient acrylic awning style windows on the side. You can open them even when it's raining out. This camper is not only cute but super light weight.

Yrs, agree..would love to change out my vans tiny slide windows for awning windows..gets so hot cuz I have to lose when it's raining, but can leave barn door windows open..still mot enuf air and no fans installed..yet..

If there’s a vent for the battery it must be a lead acid instead of an AGM! Is there an upgrade option to AGM or better yet Lithium? How many watt hours of battery does it come with & is that expandable? What size is the inverter (I didn’t see it listed or hear it mentioned so I’m assuming you have to be plugged into shore power to use the 110 outlets)?

Battery not listed and vent provided so I assume not included, so that’s additional or up to you. If there’s no inverter spec’d then yes, shore power needed for 110v. Personally I really like the setup and design. Really close to what I pencil sketched for a home built. Only drawback on the beautiful window is you’ll most likely have a great view of your tailgate. I’d want a batt power dolly to spin it around for the view.

How do they prevent the smell from a combo black & grey tank from seeping up through the sink? Any type of system is still going to need to open which will allow odors to escape.

Good point...never thought of that....but of course, your home system, is directly connected to the sewer line...and only the water sitting in the reverse trap in your sinks and toilet, prevent odor and gasses from passing up through the toilet and sink traps...

Princess Craft, where do you store the dinette cushions and bedding when you want to convert from the bed to the dinette? I didn't really see where you could store those things. Otherwise, love this rig! Thank you!

That’s a tricky thing. We have talked to folks that store the center cushion in an outdoor compartment and fold bedding on the edge of the dinette during the day. We would love to hear more from dawn campers on what works for you!

8’6” not legal in all states. Could be a horror show in event of an accident. Protect yourself-check with your state laws or any state you might travel thru. Just build trailer 6” narrower.

I like these travel trailers Thx for showing This is my favorite of their line. Just myself and my dog. Perfect Size. And I can tow with my 2018 2.0L ecobost Titanium Escape. May need to change out the 4 pron for 7 pron connectors Does PC help with this?

If it doesn't have a gray tank, just say it doesn't. Once gray goes in a black tank, it's black water.

Josef we use a dishpan for washing dishes, so the gray water can be reuse for some things. Shower water always is mixed with the black, but it does contain fecal matter and it provides the added benefit is keeping settlement from sticking. We do quick showers using water to wet, then rinse off body wash, so there isn’t a lot of gray water.

It is nice but i have to say I hope someone steals the simple idea that streamline has with there 16 foot trailer where you have a bed on one end a dinette on the other and kitchen facing the bathroom in the middle - that's it, oh and its not $40K just ridiculous what they ask for there units but there layouts are sweet, although this has the best dinette/bed combo ive seen being you don't have to choose but still I like them separate.

Joe Blow, it isn't a product we carry, but the Nature's Head composting toilet is an option many RV'ers go to to retrofit their RVs. It's what I'd personally go with if I were looking to switch to a composting option.

I think Sol should switch the wet bath location and move it to the middle then move the fridge/microwave to where the bathroom is now…. That way people taller than 5’9” can take a shower. The length and width of the bathroom are just right…

Why did you make that outdoor hatch hinge at the top? If you'd made it open down tailgate style you could have used it for an outdoor countertop for outdoor cooking or other uses.

@Bone Slayer As far as build, materials this ain't no Jayco. Not even remotely so. This cost 30K for the same reason a 16 foot air stream cost over 60K. The use of aluminum workmanship here is very much in line with how Airstream builds coaches. Part of why this cost so much is making such a large package in a extremely low dry weight. Your fifth wheel probably requires a 3/4 ton truck. This can be pulled with a SUV or a mid size truck. Thus many won't necessitate buying a larger tow vehicle. In short, this is like comparing my BMW to my uncle's loaded Santa fe. There is no comparison. This is the bimmer of small ultra lite trailers. Higher built and use expensive/lighter weight materials will always cost. This looks more in line with the higher end european carvanans I've seen. The stuff they make in Europe makes our oems in north america look like a pile of shit. except for the few exceptions such as this.

Most all other TT are for you. This one is designed for short to average size people. I don't want to pay for headroom I'd never occupy/use.

This trailer is a an overall great design...however I often wonder why nearly every RV manufacturer thinks that putting a massive BTU furnace directly beneath a refrigerator and/or directly next to the entire electrical panel is a good idea. This one aspect of the design is not only stupid, it’s dangerous. In this application it’s even more irresponsible because it’s a 3 way fridge and, on propane, they barely keep anything cold anyway. Finally, having the refrigerator and furnace next to the bed is even more ludicrous from a heat and noise standpoint. Blankets and sheets draping off the bed could easily catch fire and the noise from the two appliances is ridiculous if you want to sleep. In an otherwise great layout and use of space, this is just inexcusable.

Upper cabinets without doors are kinda dangerous. You never know what's going to end up smashed on the floor after your day of travels.
