Sol Duc falls and hot springs! 

I left Port Townsend and drove to the Salt Creek Recreation Area which turned out to be a gorgeous campground on the water. The next day I drove to Marymere Falls hoping to do that hike, but discovered it was further than I had hoped. I drove up the Sol Duc Road and saw my first black bear! That was pretty thrilling for me. I made it to the very uncrowded trail to Sol Duc Falls and walked the .8 mile to witness the most incredible sight. These falls were roaring! It was worth all the rain and mud to see them.
After I got set up at the campground, I went next door to the hot springs and had a delicious soak in the drizzle, surrounded in this valley by mist and trees. It was truly mystical.
I finally left the PNW the following day taking three days to drive back to Utah for some much needed repair work on the RV before I started the next leg of my Great American Road Trip!
