Sol Invictus, or Invincible Sun, is an elemental vision of the pre-Christian winter musical tradition. This melody was first published by an unknown composer in 1843. Vandistan community discord server: / discord
@@Makarosc Actually, in the slavic faith, it is believed that you can reincarnated back into your descendants after you go to Nav. So, it could be seen as biological in the slavic faith.
@@Ananymuus Paganism brings great culture and art, but so does Christinaity. But what Christianity brings that paganism doesn't, is stability, order, and tenants which provides for a more adjusted life. Paganism as a religion is broad in what it could be, but ultimately there will always be one God. But that Is clearly a biased opinion I have made for myself. If you are truly interested in Chrisitanty, I recommend trying to find a denomination that matches your beliefs. No matter what you choose though, I would recommend that you accept Jesus Christ into your heart and follow his teachings. Walk always in light, stray from darkness.
Well, then as a fun fact I'll tell you that this is an old Polish song about birth of Christ, only with some words changed. I still sing it every year with my family on Christmas
@@pima5033hahaha I'm sure this is bs, if not I'd be ironic seeing the countless rituals, holidays, stories, "spells", ect. stolen from "pagan" Europeans from Christians.
✊ A Putinowi jeszcze choineczka powybija oczy.
Właśnie to złożenie pogaństwa i chrześcijaństwa tworzy Polską tradycje i kulturę.
Slavic nations have so long common history and common ancient religion, but unfortunately we don't know anything about it.😥😥😥 Greetings from Ukraine 🇺🇦🤝🇵🇱
Birth of the Sol was by the roman calendary in some 25 december, so it is the exact time when the slavic Swarog was praised, during the history both of deities was merged together as the image of the same god...
@@Shlyapnikovnot true, hard evidence leads to Mieszko the first, who was born, raised and consolidated the state as a pagan. Before him, we know from unconfirmed sources that there were several other rulers of the glades, including: Lestek or Siemowit
@@zakonnicagryziedzieci9036 I have polish blood, and it makes up the largest portion of my ancestry!! I lack a ton of knowledge, especially from my mother’s side, but I know that my dad’s grandmother was originally from a small town west Kraków.
Neofolk, neopagan version of a Christmas Carol is hardly a pagan festival music. The 'unknown composer' you mentioned in the description is a priest - Michał Mioduszeski. I like the song tho
im polish catholic, but slavic paganism is our old religion.. its polish history, polish blood. Poland is a catholic country, but the same way poland is pagan country. Love paganism and Catholicism
To religia Morza Śródziemnego, równie dobrze moglibyście odprawiać dionizja do melodii czerwonego jabłuszka.
@ragmoh5949 To some extent. Look at our culture. Our language also used to be more slavic, but it went through latinization, which is when we also stopped using the Cyrillic alphabet. Sure, our country has many backgrounds in terms of ethnicity,we had Latin,Germanic,Celtic, and Slavic tribes/countries in our ancestral lands, making us a combination of them, altough currently the Latin side is more pronounced.
Most pagans believed that other pagan faiths worshiped the same god or gods but simply called them by another name. So if we explained Sol Invictus to ancient slavic pagans they'd probably say that they also believe in Sol Invictus, they just call him Dazhbog.
@@vexonennot only that but you can also see linguistic connections in most European pagan religion. The Greek, Italic/Roman and Illyrian pagan religion all associated their primary God with the word father for example. (Zeus Pater, Jupiter (deriving from Djous Pater and DeiPatrous respectively. All of which mean something among the lines of God-Father, all deriving from a primitive Indo-European deity known as Dyeus)
@@zakonnicagryziedzieci9036 it is obviously man made worshiping only what you can see and touch it requires zero philosophical thought or basic principles besides do what feels good and generally being a net negative to humanity
@@cryingfeline8339 Hello, just making sure that you know that outside of neopaganism, pagan religions don't really exist anymore. Also, they aren't actually harming anyone. There are no sacrificial rituals in neopaganism.
@@IvyYoshi Paganism is a degenerate pseudo-spiritual reconstructionist form of nature worship that only the spiritually, morally, and intellectually deficient partake in. It is a philosophy fit for animals.
@@nicholasoneal1521 well if people enjoy creative work like music (with heavy artistic license) well no problem. But i mean those of us who are interested in things like this might find it intriguing how media has portrayed pagan northern and slavic music. Im just saying. Idk why you had to comment "So" lol.
It used to be paganic, back in the old old day before first prince. This song is somehow *that* old. Slavic culture developed long ago, and before christianity we were as paganic as any other country
