1. While scripture may not state it is the only authority, it is clearly the only incorruptible authority. Show me where in the bible it states another authority outside the scriptures is infallible. 2. There are no apostles now, what we have is written. Hence sola scriptura. 3. God has given each believer the Holy Spirit to interpret the scriptures. That does not mean they will not get it wrong, as the lusts of the flesh and the sweet lies of false teachers can lead many down wrong paths. I would argue that the scattering of protestant denominations is very similar to the early church times. Some churches faithfully teaching the word of God, Some having questionable teaching creeping in or deeply rooted, and other outright heretical gatherings that do not teach the gospel at all. There is no singular organization that has control over these churches however some organizations and men have influence and/or control over some of them, to varying degrees. Despite this, all who are saved, the elect, can consider themselves part of the catholic church. Love your zeal kid, just make sure you are spending as much or more time delving into and understanding the scriptures as you are defending your current understanding of them.

Sorry, but i can´t follow a denominations whose leader, the pope, who is called the Vicar of Christ, and whose word is final and considered to be of God, says that all religions lead to God and that they are all diferent languages to get you to God. It's fine to not believe in sola scriptura, I believe an argument could be made against it. But to say what he said completely ignores and contradicts scripture.
