Solace - Saudade 

It sounds simple, but really has a bunch of stuff going on. Constantly tension building up for a second and then letting go. The freeness of the drum beat, not obeying any rules, just creating the most flowing syncopation. Then you have the middle pitch, providing the chords and backup, just building up tension in the song for no reason other than just to let it go afterward. And finally, you have the completely relaxed top line, just singing above the other phrases and flowing so nicely. These notes don't want to be refined to a time signature, they just come in whenever they want, creating a beautiful melody to be the top layer of this wonderful piece of music. This song captures freedom and bliss and peace so perfectly, and it just makes every part of your body relax. Who needs medicine? Just let there be music.

yea. its a portuguese word, meaning something like missing someone+melancholy or nostalgia.

I'm just wondering why this music name... In portuguese "Saudade" is a word... with a significant meaning...

***** I made sure I really understood what it meant before naming the song. When I had finished it, it left me feeling something I couldn't quite explain, so I did some research and Saudade was the closest to describing my feelings :)
