Solani & The Girl Who Made the Stars are two games from Final Frontier games, both in the same game series. Solani is an abstract tile placement game, and The Girl Who Made the Stars is a worker placement game. Both feature beautiful artwork, streamlined gameplay and building out your own unique star system.

Scoring System
5 - Great game. Period. It's in my collection. Obviously.
4 - Really solid game but for reasons X or Y, I'm just not willing to give it my top score. Almost always a game I'm adding to my collection.
3 - A solid game. May or may not enter/leave my collection depending on a number of factors such as other similar games, personal interest, people I play with etc. Sometimes can reflect a game's allure dropping over time.
2 - I'm either not the target audience, or too many issues with it.
1 - An arguably bad game.

I like my abstracts and after watching multiple videos and read both rule books I jumped in for both. To be fair, I was able to join a group pledge at an interesting price 😁

I'm loving the look of The Girl Who Made The Stars but I'm dropping my pledge and picking it up in retail later. Exclusives aren't doing it for me.

Totally hear that. They've gotten a bit better but I agree it's not a ton.

This appeals to me on many levels. Father of two girls and both my wife and myself are in STEM fields.

I am interested which part of you being in STEM made you appreciate this more? I mean, both games are based on astrology theme, and STEM has a tricky relationship with astrology.

@@kombainasable we try to engage our oldest daughter in space and technology (among other topics) themes, but constellations are a great way to carry in some more of the imaginative aspects of studying the cosmos. It's a little bit of history too, a lot of the ideas that once existed or motivated cultures may be out dated but they were the first steps towards wanting to learn and explore.

Solani is the more appealing of the two to me but between Chess and Azul...do I need it? Mmmmm... Uncertain but I can certainly wait for retail to decide.

I don't like the graphic design of Solani at all. To me, it looks like an ugly christmas sweater ;-(
