Well that looks exactly like my Washburn Solar US custom shop Ola Signature, which I got a few years back then...except that I have a Hipshot bridge and Duncan pickups. However, love that guitar!!!

@MOsKOn there's nothing wrong with starting with a low or mid-tier guitar and upgrading over time. hell one of the best ways to learn about gear is chop-shopping budget copy guitars into something truly unique. That's how I learned pickup wiring and trem installation and pretty much everything. better to do it on a $300 ibanez or squier than to fuck up an expensive instrument.

One would think it would be better to have to switch the "blarghy" on, rather than pull to turn it off. Otherwise it is a very pretty guitar and very modern with those pickups and the evertune bridge. I hope it sells really well for you.

One could always re-wire the control as a mod. But yeah, the second voicing is superior to my ears. I don't really like any actives, they always feel stale and lifeless, but this demo made them sound less bad.

Bro. Just received this guitar 3 days ago. It is... well... absolutely fucking KILLER! I had a Solar S1.6PP which I loved dearly but this one with the Alder body and the Fishman Fluence Modern is definitely better than the other one I had IMO. Great product !

@@SaltyOceans I highly suggest you get it. Don’t have money? Then pile up because it really is worth it. Solid instrument. You have the high quality Solar instrument with the high intensity Fluence Modern with agressive low end. I’m tuned to B and it is just insane.

@@SaltyOceans exactly ! You’ll have an insanely great built equipment with the pick attack on fishman fluence modern’s can give you. I heard a lot of pick up comparison on RU-vid. I mean a lot. There is a lot of thrash talking too about fishman. Man. It is just absolutely killer. Sending good vibes your way for you to get it soon !

So sick, after watching the last video with fluence pickups I immediately thought Ola going to put these pickups in his next guitar. I noticed after you put delay/distortion/overdrive onto your signal chain the fluence pickups really shine especially for recording.

I have this model guitar and it is my most played, even above my Ibanez Pia and other high end axes. I've barely recorded with naything else since I bought it. The Fluences/Evertune combo is incredible. The only thing I changed was a chrome pickup selector knob as the white one didn't cut it!

Shipping with 9 gauge strings? Will the nut need to be cut for 10guage?

Nope. My S1.6PP also shipped with 9's and I just switched them to 11's for dropped C tuning with no problems, other than tuning/intonating with the Evertune bridge. That part takes awhile when switching string guages. Especially if you're not familiar with them, as this was my first experience.

Seems extremely unlikely that the nut slots are within 0.001in tolerance and a perfect fit for the default strings. You will generally want to do some minor setup tweaks when changing string gauge but you should be able to go pretty thick before you need to worry about the nut. Everyone bridges may also need spring changes with large changes to string gauge but it depends what tuning you’re using. If you raise gauge without lowering tuning you may need everyone adjustments. For example, if you tune down to C standard with 12-60 strings you should be fine, since the lower tension counters the string gauge.

I think he said 11 to 60! Standard B, but I use 12 to 56 D'addario strings on my standard B guitars. 1 of which is a Jackson and the other is a A1.6BOP ARTIST SERIES SOLAR GUITAR! I had to wallow out the lowest 2 two out with the old set that came on it, (it has a graphite nut, which make it an easy operation!) So I don't think you would have a big problem! V⚡🇺🇸

Please release models with these specs (with or without the option to have with other Fishman pickup models) in more colors! The Duncan Solar is good but having more pickup options standard would be very welcome. I love my A1.6FRC though I replaced the pickups with BKP Nailbomb set. I would totally buy a blood red/black hardware version of this with the Evertune and Fishman Moderns or Devin Townsend set.
