"What happened to her" Solar HAS BEEN like this 😂 this is sooooo absolutely in line with who she is and everything she's been doing. i'm glad she's finally putting it into her comeback ❤
Colours is a six song EP with every song in a different genre or musical color. The concept is a celebration of diversity (a rainbow of colors) & community (the Ours in Colours) via self-love and respect for everyone's individuality and uniqueness. She wrote or co-wrote the lyrics and music for 5 of the songs, including co-writer of lyrics for But I, as you mentioned, and sole writer & composer of Colors. She scored a win on one of the tv music shows for But I. Obviously Solar will get a lot of support from moomoos and the lgbtq+ community for Colors but I don't know how it's going over in Korea. These two songs are great and the videos are wonderful but my favorite song on the album is called Blues. One of the best songs of her solo career imo.
Thank you for reacting to But I and Colors! To be honest I’m very obsessed rn watching other’s reacting to this song because it’s a dream come true for me. I absolutely love all the genres she has done and I’m way too excited for her to announce US tour dates after her Asia tour.
I think every reactor I've seen has had a wow reaction to Colors (and But I), of course I'm monolingual so I'm only seeing reactions in English. She was able to promote both songs on the Music Shows and used her dancers from the video (House of Love). Watch some of them, they are great. So there is at least some acceptance. I'm not sure what you thought was CGI in But I. The fire is real the animals are real the piano was actually pounded on. I'm thinking it was the fire. The back stage video shows the fire being lit. Everything was supervised. The only minor cheat would be the stunt double for the horse ride down the slope. She hadn't ridden before and the hill was steep enough to be dangerous.
This has always been Solar all along and I'm glad we're getting another chance to see her personality through this mini album. I hope she makes at least one more MV for Blues, I think we all fell in love with that song but But I and Colors are great. But I with the change in sound, the incredible lyrics, and feelings... even won the song choice on Show Champion, a well deserved recognition! And surprisingly she has an adjusted version of Colors for performances where she doesn't flip everyone off but keeps the energy and looks that goes with the video. All the Mamamoo members are known to be into non-conventional ideas so I don't know how much they'll talk about it but any talk is good these days, especially with all the drama in general among the kpop world.
Glad you're back!😚💞 I can't speak for Korean people or Korean queer community of course, but I really enjoyed it and it was my first time seeing her MV hehe Actually I don't know much about them but I know they have a supportive LGBTQ+ fanbase because I could see the rainbow moomoos flag in seoul pride parade every year and I've always loved it😊 I've also noticed that some of K-pop artists have started to incorporate drag/queer culture into their MVs recently and I was happy to see some familiar faces in it😆 It's great to see them doing their thing and getting proper spotlight here!
@@2J-Reacts I'm not really the kind of audience that expects something properly queer in K-pop, I'd rather go see queer content like drag shows in Itaewon. Maybe it's because K-pop might be a subculture from a global perspective, but for queer people in Korea, it feels quite mainstream I guess? But it's interesting to see the recent changes, and I'm curious to see how it will change in the future😚 It's also interesting to see what people outside of Korea think!
As with most things Mamamoo members do this mini album is divisive 😂 Even Solar fans have some trouble accepting these as her comebacks. But she hasn't changed really. Solar thinks "I want to do that" and then she does it! She is a total badass. love her❤
That colours one.. That song of hers will be a talk in Korea with how controversial that was.. Especially since how conventional Korea is still.. Heck most Asian countries, besides Thailand..
