Solar P1 Pro Electric Scooter Review: Riding From LA to Pasadena

#electricscooter Solar's P1 Pro is a beast of an electric scooter, with a pair of 2,000W motors that pushes it at up to 55 miles per hour (that's 88km per hour for non-Americans). It can also handle the very hilly streets of Chinatown with ease.
Ride with me from downtown LA to Pasadena over the course of an afternoon!
The Solar P1 Pro is available for $1899 -- not cheap, yes, but for some, this scooter is worth every penny, as it can be a legitimate car replacement.

Now thats what Im talking about, something with decent range and the price is actually good for the specs, great video Ben

I've had this scooter for about a year and it has been generally great. The range is fantastic and when you want it, the high speed is there, all in a super smooth platform. Even at upper 40's MPH, it;'s super stable. The 11" tires help with them I'm sure. Best for the price scooter for sure.

What kind of range do you get when you are driving at high speeds? Just curious because I just bought it
@phototristan
@phototristan Месяц назад
@@JamieBonerb If I’m going super fast much of the time I get like 35 miles of range but if I go like 20 miles an hour, I get 50 miles of range so typically it’s in between those two for me generally.

💎✨👌That's long-ass scooter ride to Pasadena. And it didn't make a dent on the battery... and with plenty of power and speed to spare. I'm impressed!

This thing is truly awesome! Superb range, power, and breaking capability. If this can replace a car for a daily commute, it would make sense even at its high price! But the only impractical thing about it, is the weight! A remarkable Scooter Ben and great content as always. ✌✌👍

I just ordered the P1 Pro last night, and I really appreciate your video! There's a lack of content about this scooter, especially the newer iterations. I love seeing it in action, I'm in Orange County so I don't think I could quite make it to Pasadena on it 😂 Can't wait to go for longer rides, though!

The 2500 dollar price tag isn’t even that bad in Canada. I was looking at the Apollo phantom v2, but this blows it out of the water for only 200 more bucks. Plus I was worried about Apollos build quality after reading. This seems to be a fairly well built scooter.

Not sure if it's different as it's 2 different countries so 2 different laws but the button without any writing on it is a e brake/turbo button which is designed to help you stop quicker when going at higher speeds I.e 30+mph, I'm currently looking at getting this one but I'm just making sure it's the right decision as I'm between ff lite and p1 pro

im looking to get a scooter i currently use an ebike to work but i need something more compact, lighter and faster only thing I'm concerned about is flying off a scooter if I hit a pot hole at 40mph or are modern day e scooters more stable than what I'm imagining?

First I didn't run it full speed it was more a rolling stop. Second I do it if there's clearly NO ONE or car there. I'm not riding through people crossing the street. C'mon man. Be realistic. The whole damn city is designed for cars first and cars second and everything else third. You expect me to not cross a street until green pedestrian light too even if it's empty?

I also have one that can get to 50mph and I've never even gotten close to that. Around 35mph already feels pretty scary, mainly because if there are some sort of obstruction on the road and I don't avoid it in time, I'll probably injure myself pretty badly. I actually ride around in a full face helmet and motorcycle gloves just in case. I can see these high power scooters being used for a commute if it takes you about 15-20 minutes to get there and then 15-20 minutes back for a total of 30-40 minute commute a day, which is probably about a 10-15 miles total. Sure, these scooters can go further but it's important to make the distinction between riding for fun and having to use it as a mode of transportation. 30 minutes of total riding every day just to get home is quite a lot of time riding and that can get tiring real fast. I can't imagine doing an hour or more commute a day on one of these scooters. Ebikes on the other hand, are definitely better for commuting.
