Has anyone else tried using an old dish bracket? I used unistrut to build a bracket on the back of the panel then attached the dish mount. So far I’m really impressed with it because you can fine tune every angle
Thanks for video. Your link says my angle should be 28 degree. I am confuse as how to set my solar array to correct tilt angle. I should calculate the tilt by set the bottom of frame with surface ̣(horizontal) or top of frame to vertical line? To easy understand let say the table in front of you is horizontal and your arm is vertical so I set my tilt from your finger tip or with the table?
The angles don't seem quite right. The angles from horizontal in the equinox months (March, September) and the optimal year-round angle should be equal to your latitude. We are at 43 degrees but it reported 33 degrees.
I got so confused trying to use this calculator because the results contradicted what everyone else was saying for my latitude. Found a couple of different calculators online, and sure enough the calculations are different and matched with all the other content creators were saying. Did you conclude that this calculator was simply flat out wrong? That’s pretty much the conclusion I’ve come to.
Ok...stop for a minute! After spending 8k on my own system then sending countless off grid customers to your website the last two years ... when I went to complete my order for over 2k worth of Solar panels I saw a check box for tipping sales staff....OK...That is absurd and I am taking all of my personal and work related business to another company. WTF!!!
Hi Pat, sorry to hear you are so disappointed by the tip option. We actually had multiple requests to add it, as some support or sales staff do such a good job that customers want to send them a small tip for their hard work. If you wish to discuss this further, please reach out. Again, sorry for the frustration this is causing you.
@@ShopSolarKits you're sales manager Mike reached out via email of which he then blocked my replies. After a few dealings with your company over the last few years I'm shocked but yet not surprised in 2022 that a company sales manager can be such an asshole! I know a lot of people in this business and going forward will let them know my opinion of Shop Solar Kits! I'm actually going to another NABCEP event so it will be a good time to share....lol
@@patriot1384 Hi Pat, well I am sorry to hear of your experience with SSK. Its obviously not out intention for this to happen. If there is anything we can do to win your business back, please let me know.
@@ShopSolarKits it's all good. I just have expectations when spending thousands of dollars in this economy... and to feel like I'm standing in a used car lot of sales guys with the "tip" jar? I'm done. BTW.... I bought the same panels for $400 less with expedited delivery of maybe 5 days freight after your sales manager lost his shit!
@@patriot1384 Hi Pat, fair enough. Sorry to hear about your experience, and we do our best to get better everyday. IF you need anything in the future, please reach out.
