In this video I finally finish the structural part of the underside. When we paint I will come back through and do some touch ups of course.
Now that this is completed we are ready to start working topside again. Deck drainage, furniture, transoms and more are coming including a trailer!

It's been about 30 years since I did anything with fiberglass.... Now I remember how slow it was to build with! Thanks for the reminder! Will be fun to see you get it in the water!

it should float now but I need to build a trailer to get it out of the garage so I can build all the deck stuff like chairs, roof, etc. Never built a trailer before...$$$...

If I had everyday to work on it it would go so much faster.

@@DIYKauai do you have Tractor Supply or Northern Tools or Harbor Freight? Might be easier to buy something small tweak it...

@@CarlinComm Kauai only has 75K ppl... only a Home Depot. Have to get bike motors and batteries shipped in from China. No coroplast sheets available so I have to use fiberglass. Bit by bit. Rickshaw vet burned his motor out so we are upgrading him to a 2000W...3-4 weeks to get here.

Now I gotta save money to build a trailer... all of this is made harder by being on a little island in the middle of nowhere...

I'm over on Oahu and even here it is tough to find the materials you need for things. Back on the mainland I took for granted how easy it was to do projects.

Looking good! What are your plans for propulsion?

Going to start with two 12V trolling motors and go up from there. 60 lbs thrust is about $150 each. Just for a calm river, no ocean use.

Are you ever going to finish this thing

Arnt you nice... The base of the boat is finished. Now I have to figure out how to build an aluminum trailer from scratch... with no money, on an island that does not even have the metal I need.

DIY Kauai happy hunting for the metal looking forward to seeing how it floats.

@@davidcummings6299 Waterline will probably be a little high... if too much can make a third pontoon. Designed it for flat water usage so riding a little low can be OK.
