DIY Portable Solar Power. This will potentially save you hundreds of dollars, just by putting the components together yourself. All you really need is a good battery, a solar panel, a charge controller and some wire. In case you didn't know, the charge controller keeps the solar panel from cooking your battery by limiting the amount of power that goes into it. It's never a good idea to hook your solar panel directly to your battery.
