Oh no...I am so sorry your shower bag broke. That stinks! At least you have a secondary option. Also, thanks for that very helpful info about the Old Faithful Inn having $5 showers.
Would it be possible to put a nearly empty shower bag on top of the van with heavy duty clamps and then fill it with water and let the sun heat it? I have a DGC too and need to learn how to use those roof racks. I purchased heavy duty clamps and a tarp. I haven’t tried it out yet. I plan to make my own privacy tent with magnets to secure it to the van, pvc pipe for the curtain rod and as support, and a shower curtain. We’ll see how that works. I saw how to do it on Glorious Life On Wheels…one of Carole’s short videos.
That sounds like a great idea... But I'm short and I would not be able to lift and pour the water into the bag easily. I have a pump I bought, and It would of been very easy to stick the pump in the bag and had a warm shower. The pump and shower head was only $30 on Amazon. A easy solution to having lift a heavy bag. Once my bag dropped and my warm water spilt, I just gave up that day.
