This is a series devoted to those that might not have the money to buy a lot of expensive equipment or those that are like me and just to CHEAP to spend their hard earned money on store bought equipment that we can build on our own.

I made the same thing. Old deep super, and medium with glass on top, 1/8th hardware cloth, I have mine drip into a tub of water. I also use a tinfoil turkey pan with holes in it. I also line the box with tinfoil. Gets it nice and hot.

What do you do with the sludge left on top? If anything.

it either goes in the middle section of my smoker packing or into the compost pile to grow veggies next year. it only takes a little in the smoker

Cheap easy and it takes very little time load and leave it. Come back an hour later on a hot sunny day and load again
