I just finished playing all the way through yesterday, despite owning it for years... did NOT realize the full extent of my influence until I had almost beaten the game... There's the more obvious stuff, like Cullen with the lyrium, but I had no clue you could influence Leliana to be hardened or softened. I tend to look up and weigh pros/cons of choices, so when I got to the point that Lel and Cass were considered being the Devine, I only then realized there were two routes to take. Didn't know which one I'd have, feared the worst, ended up with the worst. Playing Trespasser really nailed the point home with hardened Leliana's style of things, particularly when I spoke to Mother Giselle. I tried to do everything right for the ultimate good ending, and THAT was what slipped past me. Me, pikachu-facing "what do you MEAN I kept encouraging you to execute rivals/traitors/etc, there's a BALANCE"

I'm in the same situation as you! I discovered not so long ago there was a DLC of DAI and I was like... "oh, okay, I was thinking on replaying DAI and this is another reason to do it". I went for Solas romance and... wow hahaha it's so dramatic, it's pure gold. I am curious of DAV, I think we are going to see a tragic love story, which it's kinda cool, even if our poor Inquisitor suffers xD

​@thess25 omg same here. always went for Cullen. Recently decided to replay DAI romancing Solas for the first time, since DAV is incoming... now I'm here xD

@@gazelkaxd I don't even feel bad because Cullen had a happy ending anyway if you don't romance him, helping templars like him. I imagine he falls in love with one of the people he helps.

This is an opinion for sure, especially since you said you have romanced him.

Him: thousand years old technically, physically presenting as an elf in his early-mid forties according to his main writer, Trick Weekes Her: young elf of indeterminate age-you can rp The Inquisitor as being any age, actually The age gap plus sense of mystery is similar to the allure of vampires, werewolves, and other supernatural beings in fantasy romances. We can even go beyond that and point to gothic romance. Solas is a Byronic hero. There’s a timeless allure to that that literature has been writing about and reinforcing for generations.

@@dyosaexmachina1751 My remark about the age difference was meant to be humourous. I guess I'll have to try harder to make such comments obvious. I can see your point about the Byronic hero. I guess I simply compared Solas' character to how similar character in real life would be.

I'm a straight male so I can't understand why all women aren't lesbians to be perfectly honest but as someone who has literally only ever Romanced one character in a Bioware game (Morrigan) I'd say he's one of the more interesting characters to be fair. Granted outside of the Origin grew there was only really Isabella, Dorian and Solas who I genuinely found interesting. Everyone else I've found a bit shallow and to "this is going to be this kind of character" as opposed to the more organic characters you'd see I'm something from a CDPR game for example. So on that basis it might just be because he's interesting. Cullen is just a pretty boy who's entire personality is being a crackhead. There's literally nothing else to him. Blackwall isn't even him and Iron Bull would even shag a cheese grater, so the Inquisitor isn't anything special to him. I'm not certain if there are any other male options. I know there's Josephine who is nice but.. she's not the most interesting of soles and the annoying elf girl but she's either a child or a simpleton. Ultimately though it's different strokes for different folks. I do know girl though who in real life prefers the more rough and ready type of man and smI know she's pointed out to me that there's "no proper blokes" according to her. So maybe that's the true talking point is the lack of diversity for women (I don't mean that in a Dustborn kind of way) I just mean all the romancible men in Bioware games are pretty much the same.

@@Cassidei I like your editing approach, but I'd like to recommend allowing a 1-2 second pause between cuts of audio, for a couple of reasons; natural pauses between sentences allow more time to absorb the information, especially when you're already a somewhat fast speaker; the cut points often sound, in a word, "jagged", where the tone or volume of the voice rapidly shifts, which gives it that unnatural sound OP is referring to. I think if you allowed a moment between, it wouldn't stand out as strongly, but also wouldn't lose the concision you're aiming for.
