The 39 had the headlight buckets bolted to the sides of the grill. I have one, mine is a 1947. Good job rescuing it. It certainly deserves to be rescued. That truck is newer than 1939. My truck weighed,6,000 lbs. with a steel stake bed.
If you decide to restore it I have a couple of good front brake drums for I'm a 36 that should be the same and a few other odds and ends they're wonderful trucks I lost mine because I got sick and couldn't hang on to it. Very nice score thanks for showing. If it's for sale please contact me!
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they even want to slow down all the gas pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime!!!!!!!
The problem with EVs are that battery replacements are going to be worth more than the car they are for also what will happen if the power grid fails? No power, vehicles for gasoline vehicles you can use alternate fuels made from corn and surprisingly even WOOD (it is called woodgas). To be honest Electric vehicles are a stupid idea but the only way to redeem them would be to make them have a nuclear reactor or have more nuclear reactors being built instead of wind and solar plants. I would rather have my gas powered cars thank you.
