SOLD! - We found a new home for this E-Type - BUT - we do have several additional early cars in stock that will be available soon - contact us directly using the information below to be added to the list of people who receive early notification for future E-Type projects.
-----------------
This video gives an overview of an E-Type project car that is currently available for sale from Monocoque Metalworks.
Interested parties should contact Chuck Hadley directly by phone in the US - (443) 907-2287, by WhatsApp outside the US using the same number - (443) 907-2287, or by email - chuck@monocoque-metalworks.com
This is a 1963 Jaguar E-Type Coupe - or FHC (Fixed-Head Coupe) - it is a project car needing total restoration. This car is mostly complete, and is a fully matching numbers example - the engine and gearbox are the originals delivered with this car from the factory - as are ALL of the other mechanical components.
This is a true Series 1, 3.8-liter coupe - the same model and configuration as the car that shocked the world when launched in Geneva in the Spring of 1961. It has all of the sought-after Series 1 features - covered headlamps, triple SU carburetors, smooth cam covers, toggle switches, etc. It also has all of the early 3.8-liter features - the high-revving 3.8-liter engine, aluminum trimmed dash and console, classic bucket seats, and the
This car was built in November of 1962 - it is an earlier example that still retains the aluminum trimmed interior and the high-speed 3.31 rear only found on early cars... It was originally exported to the US, in Carmen Red with a Black interior.
The car has been off the road for 50 years, and the elements and Northeastern US Winters have taken their toll on the body shell - it will need a total restoration with extensive panel replacement. Have no fear! Our help and videos will guide you through the process, and our precision panels will take much of the pain out of the project. AND - the purchaser of this E-Type will be able to reach me personally for any questions that you have throughout the restoration about the metalwork - or any other aspect of E-Type restoration that we can help with! PLUS - the purchaser of this project is entitled to 20% off any and all panels purchased for the restoration of this car.
The Series 1 3.8-liter coupe is the ORIGINAL E-Type that Enzo Ferrari declared was "the most beautiful car ever built" upon first sight - it is a car that will continue to go up in value. This is a worthy example that is numbers matching with good provenance and a desirable and popular color scheme - Treat Yourself!
Better act fast, though - they always go quick!

Hi Chuck . Well if l lived over your side of the pond l'd be tempted ! My '66 2+2 is coming along quite nicely and l painted the tub last week. I now realise that my car was pretty solid compared to your example . Mine certainly was a Fred Flintstone car but the tunnel was solid . So glad you've waved goodbye to the racer , that was a boil on the bum ! Thanks Chuck

I think you will find the extra light on the rear is what us English people call a Fog Light, It's extra bright for bad weather.

Great Project car. I bought a similar car off Chuck a year ago and can't fault his support. A year later I have got a solid shell waiting for paint. Drooling over this but don't need another project yet!! Hugh

Thanks, Hugh! Yes - the car Hugh bought was literally an identical twin to this one - same color even. We shipped the car and a full spread of our panels over to him in the UK just about one year ago, and have corresponded weekly ever since as he tore into the body shell in his home garage with great enthusiasm! The finished body shell is a real beauty, and he’s well on his way to having the car completed and out on the road! 🙂

Hello Hugh . Must say , if l didn't have mine to finish l really would be tempted . So , without being too nosey , how much did yours cost to buy and ship ? Chuck's a great enthusiast and very helpful .

@@johndavey72 There is a market value to Series 1 FHC e types which you can pay more for one which appears better or a bit less for a rough one. Door to door shipping is aprox £3k depending if you want to insure it or not. My view is that you are into a total restoration if you touch a car of this nature and so whether you pay £30k or £40k makes little difference once you finish the project. So far I have done all the work rebuilding the car myself but my labour is free so the savings are my gain in the final value of the car. As far as I can see all the E types need every thing below the first 6'' of the car so really you a buying a log book and some spares. So it does not matter if the floor is slightly rusty of missing you are going to replace it in any case. Ditto the rest of the panels. A friend joked the only panel I have not touched i the roof! This is a hobby for me, but a year on I now own a 100% rust free E type body shell thanks to Chucks help.
