I truly like the facelifted variant of this 2008 Saab 9-3 because this variant that you have posted here is way better than the original style from 2003-2007 I love this clean looking Saab that you have posted here because of how good this facelifted 9-3 variant looks, which is perfectly better than my 2005 car, which was the original one
Love your video. I have had a Saab from -92. First 900 from 92 to 94, then 900i from -93 to -96. The a gap lol Then a brand new 9-3 in 2002 after which a used 93 in 2014. Now I'm thinking of buying a new used 93. (Nevs 93 electric is coming here to Europe in 2020).
Cant wrap my head around why Saab didn't include GPS screen display??? Its like every other luxury item except oh yeah non adajustable steering wheel? God I have no idea why they skipped over basic luxury add-ons?? Other that its a phenomenal vehicle with one of the best built engines Ive seen for the price. I'm a newly proud owner of a 2008 White mint condition 9-3 2.0t
I deeply believed that you have never owned a Saab before as there is a mini-cooler for cold drinks inside the glove box, and there is another cup holder ( for 2 cups ) for back seat passengers which is located at the edge of middle seat ( concealed ) right opposite to the rear a/c outlets ... did you find it ??
Not quite. Just because it shared the Epsilon platform with the Chevy Malibu (as well as the Opel Vectra) doesn't mean that it doesn't have many of its own unique components. In fact, more than 50% of the components and parts were unique to the 9-3. The engine only shared the GM Ecotec block, just about everything else (heads, intake & exhaust, engine internals, ECU & electronics, etc) was all made by Saab. The automatic transmissions were 5-speed Aisin units and were made in Japan, whereas the Chevy Malibu only used a GM 4-speed automatic. Many of the suspension parts were made out of lightweight aluminum rather than the rudimentary steel parts that were used by GM. Also, the steering units, brakes, shocks/struts/springs/bushings were also exclusive to Saab. I'm sure their are other things that I'm forgetting but those are some of the primary differences between the 9-3 and the other cars it shared its Epsilon platform with, and all these differences added up to be more than enough to make the Saab 9-3 a very unique car when compared to the Chevy Malibu.
I have the same car, my key keeps malfunctioning and sometimes lock me out the car or the wheel will lock and will not unlock for days. How do I fix that and do you guys program the keys? Got a new one when it was purchased and the key was not cut and needs to be reprogrammed
I really am not sure what your issue is (I am not a saab expert by any means) but my suggestion would be to either go to some sort of GM dealer that still services Saabs (this is a GM era saab, i know the cadillac dealer in my area still works on them) or to find some kind of Saab specialty shop. Its probably something simple like a module or even just a bad key.
