Big Champion models are the entry price model for the 18hh Böckmann horse trailer category. The Dark Green of this unit is a classy look - sitting above the anodized aluminum walls. The polyester roofs are not a material known for heat transfer. The colour of the roof makes no difference to the temperature inside the trailer.
The Big Champion SKA - E offers a Tack locker with English telescopic saddle racks, which is accessible from both outside and inside the trailer. Access your saddles from the Driver side of the trailer. Access the back of the tack locker from the horse stall side- the locker door is in easy reach of the entrance door.
Horse entry by rear ramp OR by step-up - now you have both as standard features for the Big Champion models! Also new on this model - taller side walls = a taller entry door for you. With the standard added comfort of side wall and chest bar padding - the Big Champion SKA - E now comes with 2 portable feed/water buckets, standard, for use on the trip.
The internal height is 7'7" with generous 33" wide stalls formed by the anodized aluminum double-web profile wall panels, built on a galvanized steel chassis. The aluminum floor panels are covered by a rubber mat that is glued to the entirety of the floor and sealed at the wall edges to prevent mold and bacteria growing under the stall mat.
Riding on the elite WCF Suspension (coil spring with trailing arms and added shocks and dampers) - there is no smoother suspension! An English tack locker is offered on this model- easily swapped for Western racks, if you prefer.
The fuel saving benefits of the better balancing trailers from Germany come from a Loaded Tongue weight never exceeding 215lbs when the trailer is fully loaded to capacity.
