For sale is a nice Conn 10DR double french horn.
For sale is a nice Conn 10DR double French horn. This horn plays quite nicely. It has a great higher register and a good low register as well. The sound is very focused and clear. The slurs on this particular horn are smooth, and articulations are easy as well.
This horn would make a great horn for any high school or college student looking to purchase a good Geyer horn at a lower price point. While is has some cosmetic issues and some more major repairs had to be addressed on this horn, it plays great and has lots of life left in it.
A list of the repairs I did on this horn:
-Replaced the 2nd Valve Core (brand new valve core lapped in)
-Dents removed from the F branch
-Replaced the lower slide casing and brace for the F-side 3rd valve slide
-Replaced 1st valve slide (Bb side)
-Full chem clean, valve alignment, new bumpers and strings
This horn has been playtested and I am confident it will serve a horn player well.
