AutumnBeauty I was born and raised in North Carolina and, at least in Franklin, there no crocodiles but plenty of copperheads and eastern diamond back. You will need to go quite a bit further south and jump over a couple continents to find crocodiles. You may however take a drive south and find alligators.
@@autumn_b905 American crocodiles are VERY rare. Alligators are far more numerous The point of my reply was that there are DEFINITELY not crocodiles or alligators in Franklin, NC. Lots of 🐍 though.
@360 AC212 Look at those old growth trees next to the stream, they have been there a long time. A friend of mine moved to a place with old growth trees next to a stream just like this one and he told me this stream will not flood. 50 years later it has never flooded.

That sound turns terrifying during the fall and summer rains... i bet you every 5 to 10 years water gets waist in that house... Note the mountain on the other side Creek.. see the bend in the Creek....all that says flood to me
looking at this place, I could use a nature getaway. The sound of the rumbling creek, chirping birds and silent wood can calm the mind and sooth the soul. Great place for meditation and relaxing.
Looks like exactly what I need when I retire. Near the NC coast and tired of the flat land and the beaches. I need to live out my days in the mountains!

That would be a hard thing to do, you're better off going solar also, as a back up. You have all sorts of options, and water is a great idea, but you need a backup plan in the event that fails.
that creek looks a little too bold for me.....i will never live in a flood plain again..and neither should you unless you can afford to lose everything every 5 years
Away, away from the city toxic life! What a blessing to find such a place. I'm praying. I don't have to have this much land, but just enough grow my own food and have enough to share with others. I am planning and praying for such a place. God's hand is not short. We have to believe he can and will do all things according to his will for us beyond what we can do in our own strength. Homes in NC are beautiful and affordable. You don't get a dog bone in most parts of the tri state area for this price tag. Beautiful house !! And I love that stream.
Se você gosta de ursos, jacarés, porcos selvagens, linces, cougar, lobos, coyotes e um mundo interminável de cobras é um bom prato. Lá pode ser bonito visualmente, mas pra morar deve ser um terror, principalmenre com aquela floresta toda a volta.
Beautiful property !! Beautiful home ! I would love to live there and finally be able to relax ! I could run on some possible trails in the woods🏃, and cook freely 🍞🥘🍤🍲🥗🥙🥞🍳🥖 without having my food stolen, and my belongings damaged/destroyed ! In addition, the home would be easier to maintain, and the taxes would be lower than a mansion.

Very nice ! We left the city years ago.I will say we have no regrets.Things to think about, how long will it take you to get to work ? Will your cellphone work ? Does it even matter. Utilities to your home I'm sure no nature gas lines, water or sewer. How long does it take to get gas, hardware and other supplies or services .One other thing I don't mind it but I feel my age because it's a lot of hard physical work to keep it this nice. I'm always working the land on my days off.I bought a tractor, animals, built a barn a workshop to fix the and store the equipment needed to work the land. I've never been so busy ! You need to love the work or there will only be a photo of peace something like the feeling in this video. If you love hard work you will be at peace . If your unable or unwilling to work hard you better be very wealth or your cabin will also be for sale. God bless
My first thought with all that rock along the creek and all the rock along the landscape on two levels before the house IS the creek swelling during a heavy rain or storm and that creek turning into a RIVER and the rock helping in keeping the landscape in place with the increase of water flow .... something tells me the reason for all the rock. Other then that it’s a beautiful home and I would love living there and enjoying the secluded area and a great porch for those lazy days in NC 🇺🇸
