When replacing the power tubes on the Astro 20, does it have to be re-biased?

Great video , thanks. I just want to get SLO 100's lead tone as possible at home. no need to IR..etc....Which one should I go for ? Astro 20 or SLO30

I own all 3 of them and for that purpose, I'd go with the Astro 20. For home use and recording it is the perfect amp from Soldano.

Is the Astro were purchasing over a JVM 410, I currently own a JVM 410 but I am thinking about trading it in for an Astro, just curious if you thought that would be a good idea or a mistake.

Why does it squeal like that sometimes? Is that what 6v6 tubes do when overdriven?

No, its caused by the amount of gain and the way I‘m holding the pick. Has nothing to do with the output tubes.

Are you talking about the pick harmonics? Very common technique used in a lot of classic rock and metal.
