Aren't you risking creating solder bridges below the chip that you can't fix with this method? Also what paste is used? It seems the paste has a very high content of flux vs solder.
I know what are you saying. But in here a used a little bit quantity of solder paste and a lot of flux in order to avoid bridges. Flux is the key to avoid bridges. I have never got a bridges doing this.
