Story: Arius (soldier) is a prince who was being held hostage by Arcana (poet), a witch who runs a bloodthirsty cult, set on ridding humanity of all its sins using his power of prophecy. Though mute, Arcana seeks to exploit the boy and manipulate him. Even when he escapes, everything is according to plan. When Arius runs into the gate, a mythical items that appears to those in dire need, he escapes through it and meets Cassius (king) his old friend. Though suffering from memory loss, Cassius and his two brothers, Liel and Irian, welcome Arius with open arms. However, during their chaotic breakfast, Arius has a prophecy and sees that the two brothers will die and Cassius will be rendered helpless, all orchestrated by Arcana. Almost immediately, the prophecy rings true when Rinalee (Irian, Liel, and Cassius' friend) walks into the breakfast hall to introduce them to her aunt, who returned to the village just recently.
Sometimes, when I draw, things make sense to me because I've been living with these characters since high school, but to others its just a bunch of art bunched together. I am trying to make my animatics more coherent and followable. Hopefully I succeeded at least somewhat. I do like to leave a bit of mystery to it because I like hearing theories or guesses about them. There will be a book coming out (eventually) so I don't want to give everything away in my animatics. I'm purposefully withholding a lot of information that would blow people's minds!
