Made me smile. Just the opposite of what my best friend went through a few months ago. He is a sailor on a cruiser in the USN and they arrived home a day early. He did tell his wife to surprise her. So he walks up the drive and peeks into the house. He sees another man walk down the hallway wearing his robe that the hotel gave them on their honeymoon. A matching set that came with the room. The word "Groom" was embroidered on the lapel and Bride was on her robe He was destroyed. He called me sobbing and I told him to come stay with me while he got this sorted out. We sat and cried together. I am sorry for telling you this horrible story, but this kind of thing happens more than you can imagine. The soldier here married a really good girl. Makes it even more special.

I'm a soldier in Indian army, my father was a soldier, my grandfather and grandmother was soldiers my great grandfather was a soldier too in British Indian royal army. I can understand his feelings. 😎 A soldier's eyes are wet behind the sun glasses. I miss my family, I want to hug my family members after watching this video, but my duty is more important than my personal family because I have an another family too, my countrymen, I have a huge family, all the civilians of my country is my family. I did 20 years in the military and I watch these home coming surprise videos all the time. This one is the best I've ever seen to this day. The set up was awesome but the love these two have takes the cake. God bless you both and thank you for your service young man.

Real love doesnt say "i will be faithful ONLY if u are also faithful", thats a contract not love. A genuinely pure soul doesnt know any other way than to be faithful. He can be hurt by the partner but not change his own ways because of that. (He can break the relation but not do the same crime)

Now this is true love. Many of my generation view love as a commodity, something to have just to have it. I wish all could have this feeling. The feeling of loving someone forever and ever. May this lovely couple spend the rest of time with one another with their god(s).

The American flag on his right arm should be at the top of his arm and flipped the other way, eith the stars in the top right corner not the typical top left. This is so it has the highest honour. If he was a real soldier that would be really obvious. There are other issues with his uniform too. But he is just pretending, to get an emotional response, and views or attention. He is exploited peoples respect for soldiers. I would not have an issue if they put a disclaimer at the start that it was fake and just a skit or something, but because they didn't it becomes more malicious. It is a neat idea and would be cool if it was true, but it is actually quite disrespectful. Thank you for your open mindedness too, you are a good person.

You know this is fake right, his uniform is all f*cked up, hasn't taken his PC off while indoors. He has unit insignia that is Army and wearing rank insignia that looks to be airforce.

Why all the thumbs down? This is why: It's fake and trying to capitalize on the emotions seen in real videos of real soldiers returning from combat. My breakdown: The first red flag is the house but soldiers (and their spouses) come from every background and walk of life. Plus, the house may not be theirs and in this scenario I could imagine it might be one of their parents'... The problem is his uniform/patches/haircut combo. I could be persuaded to believe that he switched up his patches for anonymity but the American flag is just flat out the wrong patch. On US military uniforms the blue field with stars always faces forward so that when worn on the right shoulder the flag appears to some as being backwards but the field of stars will always face forward as if carried into battle on a flag pole. The rest of the patches are ridiculous. His combat patch (101st Airborne) is missing the Airborne tab above the screaming eagle patch and it should be below the American flag, not above it. His unit patch on the left shoulder (the 82nd Airborne) is also missing the Airborne tab. His rank, which I would assume is corporal, since that's the only rank patch on his uniform, is upside down and on his sleeve rather than on the center chest. His hat is not a uniform hat and his haircut is more like that of an officer and not typical of any corporal I've ever seen. Also, as a corporal in the 82nd Airborne, I'd expect jump wings on his uniform and since he deployed with the 101st he might have gotten an Air Assault tab but neither are on his uniform which is possible but rare. Otherwise, what a cute video!
