The Sole E35 is consistently one of Sole’s best selling Ellipticals and for good reason: it has all the essentials at a great price!
The E35 deck pivots to a 20% incline and has 20 resistance levels. The stride length is 20” long with cushioned, oversized pedals!
Elliptical Features
Overall footprint of 71” H x 82” L x 31” W. Treadmill weighs 231 pounds
This treadmill has a pretty large footprint, so make sure you have adequate room for this machine. It weighs 231 pounds but will support up to 375 pounds.
Step Up Height: 14”
The step up height is the distance of the lowest pedal from the floor. This is a higher step-up height than on a treadmill. 14” is just over a foot high, so users must be able to lift their knee and place their foot up on the pedal to get on the machine.
25lb flywheel
The 25 pound flywheel creates a fluid pedal motion that will support the needs of most users.
Chest Strap Included
The chest strap will sync with the display to run calibrated HR programs. Heart rate sensors on the handlebars also pair with the display.
Lifetime Frame Warranty
The lifetime warranty on the E35 frame reinforces the fact that this is a quality machine. You also get a 5 year warranty on electronics and parts.

This is an incredibly detailed review, the best I've seen thus far. Wow!! Great Job! Question: I am thinking about purchasing this however I have a concern about the overall height. I am 5'8 and my basement ceiling is 7 feet. Will this work for me or will I hit the ceiling?
@TreadmillReviewGuru

The higher pedal is 20" off the floor, so you'll need around two feet of head clearance for safety. Seven feet ceilings may not be high enough :(

Works great, super quiet, wife likes it and parts seem quality....except for the broken piece. Came with a broken wheel, the one for moving the unit around. 5 months later I went to move it, still don't have that wheel. You'd think after spending this kind of money, a $5 wheel would be a no brainer for customer service. 48 minutes on the phone later, it's ordered...again. Last part got lost in the mail. Apparently they don't follow up on parts orders..good to know, now. Come to find out that I was on hold for the third time while she was training someone else. LOL...nah it's fine. I'll just sit on hold and go screw myself while you guys train. This company needs to streamline customer service BAD. Get a call back number or something.

Great Review! I'm trying to decide between the E35 and E25. They both appear to be good options. However I am wondering, bang for buck, if the extra $500 for the E35 is worth it and why? Thanks in advance!
@TreadmillReviewGuru
@TreadmillReviewGuru 3 года назад
The E35 is sturdier. It has thicker tubing and feels very stable when in use. For users under 200lbs, the E25 will be fine. But for those 200lb or heavier, the E35 is noticeably heartier and just feels more solid.

@TreadmillReviewGuru
@TreadmillReviewGuru 3 года назад
The lowest height the pedals will go is about 14" off the ground which will give you about 4 inches of head space from the ceiling and your head when you're at the lowest point. If you watch the functionality section of the video you'll see my head doesn't move too much up and down. You could take the risk and try it out, I would just feel bad recommending this machine and 4 inches of head space not be enough. Let me know if you have any other follow up questions, happy to help.

Thanks for watching our review! Great question, it might work but your head would probably be right at the ceiling height and if you move up and down at all while you're using the machine then you'll for sure hit your head on the ceiling. Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

I would no longer recommend SOLE elipticals. The frames are still sturdy, but the tolerances on the machined components, are not as accurate as they one were. These inaccuracies cause premature wear on the joints. I've had 4 of these machines over the years, and the first 2 that I owned were good machines. The last 2...including the E55 & E95 elipticals... turned out to be nothing but a headaches, nothing but problems. Another thing...Sole customer support is not as helpful to the customers that buy these expensive machines. When they fail under warranty, they want you , the customer, to pay for a lot of the repairs, at Soles discretion. Will not be buying another Sole product ever again.

Can the smaller version of this - E25 also do upper body workouts like this one? You mentioned “synchronous movement for full body engagement” for this one. Is it not available with E25??
@TreadmillReviewGuru
@TreadmillReviewGuru 3 года назад
The pedals and moving handles are connected on both ellipticals so yes, you get great upper body engagement on both. You can accentuate how much force you push/pull with your arms for more upper body while your legs just glide along.

I see you just jumped on it and went for it without having to program your weight or anything. A reviewer on Amazon said it would do nothing until you entered in all that info. That almost made me exclude this unit from my search. I have had 2 sole treadmills before, and even though they ask you for your weight, I've never inputted it and got my workout in. Some people should not be allowed to provide reviews, I think. Not you, this is a great review.

I'm on my 2nd e35. My only complaint is that when using the stationary handles (which I do often), there is very little margin between you and the moving handles. I get jostled by them fairly often. On my first e35, that wasn't a problem. They redesigned the handles somewhere along the way and now they're much closer in to the center. Other than that, I'm very happy with it.

Thanks for your review. The incline feature seems to be pointless...I don't see it making an actual incline rather it just raises the person up. Does it actually incline? Locking arm bars would be nice so they don't swing back and forth if all a person wants to do is legs but I don't think any of them have that. I think it is an overall good designed machine but the incline is really questionable as to if it actually provides incline resistance as if a person was going up a hill.

One thing I'm wondering is if I lose stride length or workout intensity in the difference between 82 inches and 71 in length.
@TreadmillReviewGuru
@TreadmillReviewGuru 3 года назад
That's a good question. Both the E25 and E35 have 20" of stride length - so there's no difference in the distance the pedal can travel forward and back between both units. The E35 has adjustable pedal height - so you can raise the back side of the pedal upwards 3 different levels to reduce toe numbness and increase ankle stability. The E35 also has a heavier flywheel that is 25lb compared to 20lb on the E25. The E35 also has thicker tubing so the handles and pedal support beams are heavier duty. There are also a few more hand positions on the E35 since the handlebars have a loop at the top. The functionality is roughly the same between the two units. The E25 will support up to 350lbs and the E35 will support up to 375lbs. Both are smooth and quiet.

@TreadmillReviewGuru
@TreadmillReviewGuru 3 года назад
Yes. All ellipticals are a bit large and can be hard to get on, but the E35 has the stationary handles which help with stability. The adjustable pedal height allows you to angle the pedal up or down slightly for foot comfort. The stride length is dependent on how far you want to push the pedal forward and back, so you have both customizations. This would be a good option!
@davidnichols4939

Wow, what a great review. I have (briefly) tested the E25 and E35 and have ruled out the E25 because the pedals are not adjustable. The padding and adjustability of the E35 pedals made them more comfortable. Since you have also done a written review on the E95 with the 10 position, dial adjustable pedals may I ask if you found those pedals even more comfortable than the E35 pedals? Since I am in my early 60’s and only weigh 160 lbs, I certainly don’t think in need the 27-pound flywheel of the E95, but is it worth spending $300 more to get the 10 position pedals? Thank you.
@TreadmillReviewGuru
@TreadmillReviewGuru 3 года назад
The adjustable pedals are a nice feature. I find that elliptical pedals often make my toes numb because the angle puts pressure on my toes. The adjustable pedals on the E95 allow my feet to relax a little with less friction on the ball of my foot and toes. However, the E35 has enough adjustability to eliminate foot discomfort. The E95 is certainly a step up, but may not be necessary if that's the only feature you're concerned about.
