In this comparison review we take a look at how the Sole F63, Sole F80, and Sole F85 Treadmills compare. These are some of our favorite models from Sole and we’re really pleased with their construction and performance.
We recommend all three for running, however, being that it is the entry-level model, the F63 is better for lighter to moderate use. For long-distance running we recommend the F80 and F85. The F63 has a 3.0 HP motor, the F80 has a 3.5 HP motor, and the F85 has a 4.0 HP motor. 3.5-4 HP is what we typically recommend for heavier training. They all have 60” long decks to support most stride lengths, too.
All three models fold up to save space and have 4 transportation wheels to move them around when needed. The F63 is the most compact and lightweight of the three so it is a little easier to fold and move, but the F80 and F85 are doable to fold up for most people.
They all have firm deck cushioning that feels a little more similar to running outside on concrete than other home treadmills on the market. The decks do, however, provide shock absorption for the joints, unlike concrete.
We really appreciate that Sole doesn’t require a subscription fee to access the content on each of the screens. The F63 has less tech than the other two, but it still comes with onboard workouts and Bluetooth-enabled speakers to play content from your phone through them.
The F80 and F85 have the same console layout and content. The F85 has a larger 15” touch screen versus the F80’s 10” touch screen. In addition to onboard workouts, these treadmills come with 12 preloaded streaming apps like Netflix to watch from, which is a really nice feature.
All in all, any of these treadmills are a great addition to your home, it just depends on what you’re looking for. If you want a budget treadmill, go with the Sole F63, if you want the maximum amount of training options and a larger screen, go with the Sole F85 (it declines while the other two don’t), and if you want a good amount of tech for a cheaper price, you can’t go wrong with the Sole F80.

I bought a Sole F80 2 years ago thinking it was one of the better treadmills. The moter started making a horribly loud noise just 2 months after using it. Sole Warranty department gave me the run around for weeks/months. They finally said they would send a tech out to install a new motor….over a year later of waiting and no fix…..they said they didn’t have any techs and shipped me a motor and told me to install it myself. Also, the cheap tacky plastic console of the F80 shocks me every time I touch it, literally shocks me with electricity. My next treadmill purchase will probably be something else

Thank you for this video. I was searching F63 vs F80. Looks like we're leaning towards F80. Are there any others you'd recommend? We're in our late 50's so some cushioning helps, and we walk and jog for 1 hour/5 miles every other day. Thank you.

Thanks for watching! The F80 would be a great option and fit your needs really well. If you did want some more cushioning you could look at the NordicTrack 1250 or 1750, those will be great options that add cushioning. Horizon treadmills are really great too and have slightly more cushioning that Sole, but no content options on those machine. Let us know if you have any other questions, thanks!

I am not sure you feel that much difference in the F63 vs. F80 in terms of how soft they are. I would highly recommend a good pair of walking/jogging shoes. Good footwear is extremally important. If you wearing Skechers vs. New Balance or Brooks. It won't matter what your jogging on.....

Will the f63 tablet holder hold an iPad Pro 12.9? And is the cushioning as good as the bowflex treadmills?
