When we grew up with it, we picked up a lot of Latin from the Mass and the many devotions common at the time. But changing to local languages was not bad in itself. That was the instruction of the Good Pope, John XXIII. The grave error came later in the Council, when Pope Paul VI allowed academics to destroy the very structure of the Mass that represented the spiritual heritage of two thousand years.

This is exactly what we used to say back then. Catholic really meant Catholic, universal.

Look up on the internet “Ottaviani Intervention (1969).” Cardinal Alfredo Cardinal Ottaviani of the Holy Office along with Cardinal Antonio Cardinal Bacci together with a group of Roman theologians did a crucial study of the new proposed order of the Mass and warned “the Novus Ordo, represents both as a whole, and in its details, a striking departure from the Catholic theology of the Mass as it was formulated in Session 22 of the Council of Trent". Among other points, the Study maintains that the faithful "never, absolutely never, asked that the liturgy be changed or mutilated to make it easier to understand."

Look at the wording of the 1570 bull Quo primum tempore of Pope Pius V. You can read it online. The language is unambiguous in canonizing the Tridentine Rite of Holy Mass as the rite to be university followed by the Latin Church worldwide, with a couple of exception for ancient rites like the Ambrosian, Mozarabic and Carthusian etc. One Bishop sent me a very offensive letter telling me that the congregations at Tridentine Masses were like on-looking dumb animals - he used the Latin word them stulti, not knowing what was going on at the altar. I replied to him that was an insult to my ancestors and the deceased faithful and if there was any confusion in the minds of the post Vatican II faithful about what the priest was doing at the altar, this could be blamed on the lack of Catholic education and catechesis. Jews and Muslims know well the advantages of having a universal language for their respective liturgies and educate and encourage their children from and early age. By the time they leave school both Jews and Muslims can recite from memory long passages from their sculptures and liturgies. In one Church in Malaysia I noted a list of Mass times outside a church. These were Mass in English, Malay, a South Indian language (Tamil), Mandarin Chinese and Philippines Tagalog. No Latin of course. Each community went to "their Mass" and if they missed that they would not go to another. A priest in one of the Arab Gulf States where I worked told me that he had to host a French priest who came out twice a year to celebrate Mass in French for the small French community working there. He said that there was a good turn out, and looking at me over the top of his spectacles said "but they don't come to Mass any other time."

We are lucky to still have some Bishops who are willing to celebrate a pontifical High Mass at the throne. As a former sacristan of an abbey I know how difficult it is prepare for and offer this kind of Holy Mass. It takes a lot of work, planning and patience. The MC or master of ceremonies, has to know every bodies role and position in the sanctuary during the liturgy and direct them around as necessary. It is quite and undertaking.

Unfortunately I also don't have more words to describe this Mass which is impossible to describe with words because it goes further, above the human perception and mind so it is only to our Lord's highness. There are still bishops and priests who are hostile to the celebration of the Tridentine Mass. For the older priests it was the rite and Mass of their ordination.

She wrote about a great act of mercy called "The Warning" which is also called "The Sign of the Son of Man" in the gospel. It will be a preparation for the second coming. God bless.

If I am seeing it right it is the deacon and sub deacon. They assist the celebrant at the altar. There are other priests in copes that assist in various capacities in the sanctuary.

No way! Ample vestments like gothic/borromean/neri/conical are much more traditional and fitting with the traditional mass. Of course there is room for all styles, and the fiddleback fits better in baroque style churches.
