I honestly don't know why they wont animate it like this anymore. They've got the money. This and Dante vs Bayonetta were the most visually pleasing. Raiden vs Wolverine would be up there. If they didn't make Wolverine do so well in the fight. Raiden would never have lost an arm to Wolverine.
This is when DEATH BATTLE peaked for me. A fight that lasts more than three minutes or two. Good representation of characters. It feeling more like a story than just a trade of abilities in a analytical game of catch up and a really good production to add.
This was an abysmally terrible representation of Sam Fisher. While it gave his back story well enough the actual fight went on as if they had never heard of Splinter Cell
Just a small correction: Snake's accelerated aging wasn't the result of nanomachines having bad interactions with clones. Rather...the Les Infant Terrible purposely made him, Liquid and Solidus to age faster after reaching adulthood, as one of few precautions to ensure they wouldn't be a threat to the US

Only noob players play mgs like rambo, they are all doable with no kills except some bosses or mandatory encounters, no rations, no alerts and no continues. Even bosses can be stunned rather than killed. And no bandana nor invisible stealth camo.
@1misanthropist One of the reasons mgs games are so good is that there are many items/ weapons and they all have one or more uses, so it adds replayability. Also high difficulties REQUIRE you to be stealthy since you die in 2 hits or 3 (not counting rations).
It’s funny when you consider the fact that both of these characters have acknowledged each other in their respective series. They’ve probably even sparred with each other before.
I remember Sam's line from a video I saw, what was Snake's acknowledgement? Was it in a title? It's bothering me cuz I've played all of the MGS titles and don't remember

*Snake:* "Besides, I don't think you're cut out for an SC-20K modular assault weapon in the first place; you tend to twist your elbow a little to absorb the recoil. That's more of a revolver technique. But, that was some fancy shooting. You're pretty good."
I want a remaster of this fight. Not a rematch, a remaster. This fight is so well made already, imagine how badass it would be with DB’s better animation quality.
@@andrewhoward2537Solid Snake is a clone of a man with the epithet of "The Greatest Soldier who Ever Lived." The worst part of this is that they are actually on the same side and this is a case of disastrous in-fighting. And failure of communication between agencies.
The U.S. has a dozen Intel Agencies that communicate with each other rarely. This kind of stuff most likely happens in real life more then any of us would care to know.

7 years have past and this is still my favorite death battle, the animation is fire, the story is fire, the music lines up with the animation, the boices are superb and the outcome was awsome.
Sam is based more in realism with a slight “what if” like Clancy always does. Snake was busting out some Kojima flips while getting shot at. He’s a got dang superhero.
that doesn't mean splinter cell didn't have a good story still you have to agree that Sam has the disadvantage against a genetically engineered super soldier
Snake also has a massive physical edge having gone toe to toe with opponents possessing legitimate superhuman speed and strength. I mean he not only survived but *won* a fist fight against a cyborg that was able to hold up MG Rex as it was trying to crush him underfoot... Just saying...
Snake is definitely physically superior by a considerable amount but Grey Fox isn’t the best example since: 1. Lifting strength ≠ Striking Power 2. Fox wanted to feel the pain, he was basically begging to get his ass kicked so it’s kinda unclear if he really went all-out on Snake when he wasn’t mentally all there. A better example would be Liquid Ocelot who could dent submarine armour and Snake matched him literally blow for blow.
Sam: I’ve heard they don’t make them like me anymore. There was this other guy, though. Army Infiltration. He wore a bandana or something. "I heard he finally retired" Sam: Really? Then its only me.
this is definitly the best death battle. nothing can change my mind. it has incredible animation, awesome choreography, gud story, great characterization, and a long fight that holds your interest the whole way through.
It has an actual plot and isn't a half-assed excuse to fight like "you looked at me funny" for some of the death battles. It makes me actually want to see who wins by the end of the fight.
“He even piloted a Metal Gear to defeat a Metal Gear that was designed to kill other Metal Gears!” Snake: I used the Metal Gear to destroy the Metal Gear
This fight somehow feels more like a Metal Gear boss than most Metal Gear bosses do. Like this feels like an appropriate fight for Snake compared to *Hot Coldman*
For the people complaining that Snake won after being shot and stabbed...... twice: 1. Nanomachines suppress all pain, only a well-placed lethal shot could put Snake down for good. 2. He survived bombardment from MICROWAVES. Two bullets and cuts is nothing to him.
Austin Hou What is he supposed to do? Flipping makes him a much smaller target. Running directly across the hall is very easy way to get yourself shot. So, what was he supposed to do to dodge those bullets, hmm?
Austin Hou Yeah. Ask any professional highly-skilled acrobat ever, then make him a super-soldier. Even so, that was probably just a problem in editing. They probably didn't think about the duration between the flips and gunshots.
It would be like a slasher flick with Fisher, kinda like Predator. With Snake.... I would be fully expecting that Hide and Seek would inevitably turn into a game of World War 3.
“One shot and hes down.” proceeds to get shot and slashed and is fine enough to kill an elite soldier. This went exactly how I thought it would, even if I like fisher more. Great death battle
Basically only a headshot can kill Snake immediately..His camo heals Snake from stab wounds and gunshots that don’t hit vital parts of the body..Add on the fact Snake survived being thrown off a bridge while being tied and crawling thru the microwave room it’ll definitely take more than a few stabs and gunshots to beat Snake
Sam Fisher was right about one thing. He knew if he didn't take care of Snake immediately, he might get tailed all the way back to the plane or even killed enroute. Given the cloaking tech Snake had, following Sam would've been a breeze.
Snake: I already got it covered. Otacon: Please tell me it's not a cardboard box. Snake: Do we need to go over this again? First of all, the comraderie and chemistry between Otacon and Snake is perfect. Its probably also one of my favorite things about Snake in the games, because everything about him screams 'angry PTSD loner' but he has such a genuine friendship with Hal despite how RADICALLY different the two are. To say nothing of how deadpan serious Snake takes his own goofyness, like his obsession with cardboard boxes on sneaking missions. Second and more importantly, I'm genuinely curious how frequently they have this argument XD
As if Fisher would had just used his themral vision and find snake with his head sticking out or use sonar to get him? Whag does death battle think fisher js? Stupid?
And if death battle decides to do the dumbest idea of Solid Snake vs Pit it will be The guy who literally kills giant nuke robots everyday vs the angel warrior who fights gods. That is a whole lot fair
William Maya If you take away Pits fancy weapons and it was a H2H situation, Snake is actually capable of putting him down fairly easily. But that’s a big IF.
@@CollegeBallYouknow what's a H2H situation. Anyway pit is very fast and very strong. His best speed feat is reacting to the lunar sanctum's laser and pit is around planet level.
@@SomeWeeboLoser While Pit does have the capabilities of dodging lasers from the Lunar Sanctum, surviving enough blows from gods, demons, aliens, and even the Great Sacred Treasure, his experience in battle is not as great as Snake's. Pit can only carry a few weapons on him (Thanks to Super Smash Bros.), while Snake has his own arsenal, such as camouflage, his Solid Eye, and can even find weapons to help him. Not to mention, Pit's close combat training is nothing compared to Snake's training, so Pit would definitely lose in that regard. Also, Snake can figure out Pit's weaknesses, such as running for a limited time until he runs out of stamina or using the Power of Flight for limited usages so that he can't burn out his wings, or worst of all, using food to lure him into a trap. Finally, Pit's not the brightest bulb out there and always relies on the Goddess of Light, Palutena, or the Goddess of Nature, Viridi, to help him, while Snake is more than intelligent to go solo if Octacon can't be able to give him all the answers or the support he needs.

Snake’s stealth is being unfairly downplayed by almost everyone in the comments. Now I’m not denying that Sam is Snake’s superior in that regard but you need to take a closer look at the specific circumstances that Snake is under during his escapades. Snake specialises in OSP, meaning that he goes into missions with almost nothing BUT the bare essentials and just picks up whatever is useful along the way. Now let’s compare the two spies’ equipment together. *Sam:* • His suit • Five-Seven w/ silencer • Dem Goggles • Cameras • Various smoke projectiles • *That voice* • etc. Sam’s got excellent equipment for infiltration, surveillance, etc. *Snake:* • Cardboard Box • Knife • Various sidearms w/ silencers • Tranqs • An assortment of sprays • *Dat ass* Snake’s equipment is almost like a DIY toolset with how bare and simplistic it is. But what about Snake’s other equipment? Well most of that stuff isn’t really suited for stealth at all, because there’s a lot of explosives such as his Nikita, rpg, grenades, and even that damn rail gun. Moreover, the majority of the times that Snake’s been caught is usually due to the plot forcing Snake into these unavoidable events called “boss battles”. I doubt Sam could outright avoid the likes of Gray Fox, Psycho Mantis, or Ocelot. All these guys were either enhanced to be beyond human, having psychic powers or being capable of sensing things that shouldn’t even be possible to detect for a human. Overall Sam was far better equiped for his missions whereas Snake comparatively had little to work with, plus the fact that Snake had to contend with superhumans with unfair advantages.
I think it's also down to the environment that each one operates in. Snake is more of a jungle combat type of guy while Sam is more urban combat. Each are very powerful in their own regard however when out of their element they tend to suffer a little.
Paxton Fairbanks The guy you’re thinking of is probably Big Boss. In nearly all of Snake’s missions, he’s usually operated in urban areas or Industrial sites such as New York, Shadow Moses Island, and even the Middle East. So he’s not out of his element at all, which doesn’t really matter all that much anyway seeing how adaptive he is. The only time that Snake was ever in a jungle was in certain sections of Metal Gear 1 and even then it was split between being in those and a military base.
@@CollegeBallYouknow He's done more jungle missions. Old Snake(MGS4), for example, had an entire ordeal in the jungle, when he was looking for Naomi. That's when he was in his worst condition of all the games, which says something considering all he did in 4. You're right though. He's trained to be adaptive and that's exactly WHY they always send him and Big Boss in with minimal equipment. They're good and procuring onsite to minimize evidence of their involvement, but that doesn't even matter as of MGS4. On new playthroughs (which makes it still canon just like the bandanna giving infinite ammo because it has the infinity symbol stitched on it, and the Patriot having infinite ammo because the barrel is shaped like the infinity symbol lol), that little... well I called it Mouser so much because it reminded me of those things on the old Ninja Turtles cartoon... anyway, Otacon straight up says it can even hold all the gear he'll need and to not let the size fool you. It even holds the Rail Gun. So he COULD have all his weapons and make this even shorter work since the thing could even stealth up and knock out Sam lol.

People I know what was on that USB, its quite obvious really, its the remaining files of Silent Hills, Hideo hired Snake to obtain the files while Konami hired Sam to get them, this explains so much
Honestly I couldn't see it as any other way than Snake winning. Snake either created, or trained under the creators of nearly all of the techniques that sam employs. Snake is the Master. Sam is a bonafide expert, but when it comes to the sheer magnitude of skill, snake just has him beat.
Just goes to show he wasn’t even trying. I mean the man’s started in green berets when he was 15. It’s really not a fair fight. Genetically enhanced, and nano-machines.
@@kiloklavdi1185 Genetically inferior… only on paper and exclusively to Liquid. Having recessive genes from Big Boss still puts Snake well above even other super soldiers like the Genome unit and his actual on-screen feats put him _on par_ with Liquid which in turn puts in a league above Sam in just about every area save for raw stealth and quick draw ability.
@@CollegeBallYouknow I mean I always kinda assumed Snake got the dominant genes, but Liquid doesn't understand how genetics work and didn't realize that more likely the recessive genes were the ones they were looking to cultivate, making him the superior clone as a result.
