Great video, I have been looking to learn CAM since ages but your video brought that day. Also, in my course we stress on the term "DEPTH OF CUT" can you please make it clear where did we use that in this video.
Up to 10 minutes everything worked, but past something must have changed in SW2020 because it all falls apart. Even opening the Mill setup is a bit different with checkmarks etc... No matter what I tried I could not get it to make an open pocket like you.
Hi, and thanks for an informative video. I followed the video, drew the part, generated G-codes and then machined the part in our CNC machine. BUT, every time the machine goes in z-, it happens when the tool is over the part so that it is pressed into the material. Is there an option to make the machine go in z- when the tool is on the outside of the part?
under the cut parameters, under the feature option tab, you should have an option to edit the "entry point", you can adjust the entry point by length and angle to a location off your part.
Can you do a part that has a second OP ? OP1 G54 then set a G55 for the second OP and maybe how to pick a different origin for the second op with out messing up the first ops origin? I can't figure it out.
Anyone know whether SOLIDWORKS connected has cam support? I won't get started on how horrible the connected part is, wish it was just a normal program without all the connected bs.
im an expert at solid modeling but its my first time on solid cam, i bought a useless mastercam tutorial before finding this and that tutorial didnt even open
