One note of caution - When you have the Properties Tab on the right selected, you may find that selecting faces to mate in assemblies take a lot longer. There is a significant delay. Just click the Home tab, and selecting and mating should work fine.
I just tried testing that on my system and I did not find any delay. If you have not already you may want to check with your VAR's technical support team to see if there may be an issue in your system/environments
Than you for the tutorial. Is it possible to build this way a table (in assembly), where I can see and change properties of different parts within the same assembly?
Hi, Is it possible to add section properties of any surface of a part in to the file properties for automatically calculating inertial value of that surface?
Good morning Mit, Unfortunately at this time that is not possible. You would have to have a dimension of some kind to link to the properties. and sections by default do not create real geometry like that. You could possible create configurations with the section cuts implemented in the model, and use those dimensions to link to properties.
I just upgraded to 2021 and rebuilt my custom property tabs. I know find that I have a 4 radio button selection but every time I open the property tab the radio button alters to the last entry on the list (regardless of the state I saved it in last time). Have you ever heard of or seen this behavior before? Is there some sort of "set to default" selector I am missing?
@@goengineer Thank you for the reply. I figured this out, but I wanted to know if there is way when I make a drawing from part, the custom properties from the part (filled by me) can be transferred to the custom properties in the drawings too.
Is it possible to make a custom property drive a sketch dimension? i.e. so you can quickly change some aspect of the part geometry via the custom property tab?
The waste material is typically collected by a service that specializes in hazardous waste removal, however a new trend is to use a machine like the Onulus Wrap (www.goengineer.com/3d-printing/post-processing/onulis-wrap-w7500) to bulk cure UV-curable photopolymer resin waste thus rendering it inert and safe to dispose as standard waste.
How to use the weldment properity tab??? Always the first step is choose four type. (part, assambly, drawing and weldment !!!!??! ) Are there any video?
Great question! To use the weldment property tab, it is a very similar process to what is shown in this video, but you will want to select the “weldment” type from the four options. After you are done creating your property tab and have saved it, go back into SOLIDWORKS and click on the custom property tab. To get your new form to show up, you will need to click a cut list item on the feature tree.
Very nice clear tutorial shame about the annoying 'vocal fry'. I wish Americans could go back to how they used to speak they had such a great accent, now ruined by this awful grating noise at the end of every sentence.
